  1. Can't remember if I've asked this before, are there any other exhaust systems that are a direct swap for the headers/collector? Mines fooked and all the others I've looked at buying are too. Thanks...
  2. Dunno offhand. Google "Simon Francis Services"
  3. Speak to Simon Francis, he did mine. Top service.
  4. Got a wiring diagram somewhere, I'll fish it out when I get home.
  5. Another one for the VM's bored to 33mm. Very good and none of the potential issues with CV carbs running pods.

    Sheeeeet, that's lush. Slobber.
  7. Stick em on photobucket and just copy the direct link. Dead easy.
  8. Yeah. Its do-able, but as Viz said, miss a gear and it could get messy.
  9. What are you using, the 750 cdi?
  10. Not the B&Q paint, more use their colour sampling/matching computers and get a printout of the exact shade.
  11. Got any parts in the colour you want? Iirc, B&Q can scan a colour sample and give you a printout of the mix ratios. Either that or go to a car paint place and get it matched.
  12. OEM. Some will say Robinsons, but imho theyre expensive.

Any good with a multimeter? My next step would be to disconnect the wires from coil 2&3, one will be +12v with the ignition on. The other is switched to ground (earth/-ve) via the points. The wire to the points (black/yellow from memory) should go open-circuit at the appropriate interval with the engine cranking.

    I stand corrected.

Right, to be honest it sounds like the points for 2&3 aren't opening, causing it to charge that coil all the time.. That can cause it to burn out. A knackered condenser would just give you a crap spark. Either that or someone has made a total balls of the wiring and got a permanent ground to the coil.

Ah, ok. The E should have CDI rather than points. Has it been running previously? It sounds like the coil is charging constantly causing it to burn out.

If it's destroying the same coil continually, you're looking at a wiring fault. Can you swap the cdi to eliminate that? Has it run ok previously?
