  1. @clivegtohas a slabby 750 frame with a motor pushing over 250 ponies. I think his frame only has the area in the headstock casting braced. I'll find a pic...
  2. Have a look at the stuff from Torques UK. They do all the parts and they're cheaper than Earls.
  3. Welcome. That's a fine looking piece of kit. RTFR so you don't fall foul of em and enjoy.
  4. So do we get to see or not?
  5. Shhh, don't dispel the air of mystery and wonder... Actually, that might be my dinner.
  6. If you substitute those "o"s for zeros, giving the right part number, ya get a ton of results. 32900-27E00
  7. It's B12, but either a very early one (first year only) or an import.
  8. Yup, a stand full of fantastic bikes again. Good to see you all again and a few new faces too, which is nice. Well done to all involved.
  9. Well, no. But there's tons of Chinese bikes sailing about and I haven't heard any horror stories. I think the issue is variability, like I say. A lot of manufacturers outsource to China but implement tight QC. Most wouldn't think anything of buying a branded accessory that might have been manufactured in China if it's got a recognised name on it.
  10. Variable quality. I think I'd go with known manufacturers not only for decent kit but availability of spares.
  11. Here's my ropey sketch of the pinouts. The bottom left pin (on the block of 8) is connected to earth via a 100ohm resistor.
  12. Ah, fair enough. They're fiddly on a manual, I can see the attraction in setting up on CNC and just letting it run.
  13. Yeah, no problems swapping bits about.
  14. Jetting is different, needles are different, mounting rail (the "set plates") between them is different too. Powerscreen has two fuel inlets on the carbs, slabby only has one. Cable choke on powerscreen carbs.

We will, of course, require pictures.
  16. GSXR thou K-series stock titanium pipes, Danmoto can and linkpipe. Ramair dual foam filters with silicone pipe reducers to form an intake tract. Can't remember the jetting, from memory they're either 122.5 or 125 mains, I'll look when I take em off again. They're good, nice and crisp most of the way up the rev range but struggle when you work them really hard. If that's a failing of the accelerator pumps or the jetting, I've not sussed out, but there's enough snap to spin the rear out of corners, so that'll do. If I get chance, I'll dyno it to satisfy your curiosity.
  17. Bog stock, just a 4-2-1 pipe.
  18. Yeah, got em on a B12 motor. Bored to 33mm they're OK but a bit breathless at the top end.
  19. Needing a quick fix winter hack, so me being me and nothing being simple, I want to sling a 750 slabby motor into a GS550 frame. Now... what engine mounts will work? I'm given to believe that the top back and front line up relatively easily, am I right thinking that? Also, in a stock swingarm, what's the maximum width rear I can get in without surgery? 4.5? Bearing in mind I'd like it to be as "bolt-together" as possible, with a minimum of butchery. Cheers.
  20. Late to the party as always. They are slabby carbs, @Sam-Jaffa, but the flatslides from the seven fiddy.
  21. I'm gonna have to dig some out now and check, was sure they're identical.
