  1. There is no spot for a temp gauge on this, just the pressure sender. The hole on top is for the rear mounting bolt.
  2. These adapters are advertised as fitting the GS 2 valve motors. Is there a reason that it can not be used on a 4 valve motor as long as it clears the tensioner wheel?
  3. I just looked at the sheet that came with my JE 1270 Kat pistons, and the recommended clearance is 0.0508mm or 0.0020 inch. That is for a 75mm bore. Your clearance is 3 times more on a 78mm bore
  4. Can you add a bulb inside the case to fool the sensor into thinking its daytime?
  5. That looks like a lot of work. You would have to make a mould of the tank and use vacuum bags and all the special layers that go with it to get a tank without pinholes. And it will still need a liner to stop the crappy stuff in the fuel from eating the inside.
  6. I like the carbon that you had on there. Maybe just a bit shorter and more angled up
  7. Cheap easy outs with the spiral flutes are pretty useless, and often break causing more headaches. I have a set that are basically a tapered square profile that you tap into the hole you drilled similar to the torx you used. They grab really well and have saved me a few times now.
  8. I have gaskets for a dirtbike from a different eom that came as multiple gaskets in a single bag with the part number sticker on the bag. as well as the same parts in separate sealed packages. I did not but them new, so I dont know yow the original owner obtained them, but it is possible.
  9. Luckily nothing like MOT here. I lived in England about 20 years ago and I remember the MOT was a pain in the butt with my mini. We can get collector plates that gives you cheaper insurance but the bike has to be completely stock and there are limitations like no driving to work.
  10. This is definitely the first time I have seen a katana arm going onto a bike. Usually the other way around Are you going to get some better quality shocks while you are at it. Those Chinesium models are crap. Somebody put in a lot of work to modify that SRAD swingarm. Might have been easier to just widen the frame to get it to fit.
  11. Ive never used any grease, but I always cleaned up and polished any metal parts that contact the seals and rotate when the tap is turned. More common on non vacuum petcocks.
  12. I replace old taps with a pingle now. Got tired of trying to rebuild. No vacuum is also a bonus to me.
  13. https://www.shop.pbisprockets.com/main.sc Look under offset sprockets
  14. All these bikes have the same 13 spline 25mm shaft sprocket. This is from PBI sprockets list for 530 offset sprockets,
  15. I dont even want to touch the inside of mine its so disgusting. I think a billet cover one will be on the shopping list at some point
  16. That should work Thank you
  17. Im not looking for a screen, just the outline traced on paper so that I can make an aluminum one.
  18. I want to make my own shield, but it is missing on the project I bought, so I dont have anything to copy. I know that they are still available to purchase, but I want to try something different. Can anybody help me out with a template? I just need the outline traced onto a piece of paper and a photo taken that includes a ruler so that I can work out scale.
  19. Yup, I have a 1973 RD 350. Its almost as old as me. Great fun bike to ride, but it has had a lot of modern upgrades.
  20. I ordered the Wiseco 1168 kit which shows in stock, but he was unable to get one. So now I am waiting for the JE 1170 kit
  21. Yup, the starter solenoid left big gouges in the pickup cover. The cover now shows an unavailable on their website. The stator side emblem also has a nice bend in it. Some of the other bags were ripped by the screws on the solenoid, but they just contained rubber grommets so no damage there.
  22. It would be well packaged then I suppose. Pickup cover is no longer available. basically it will cost me money to send it back to not have a part I need.
  23. Just received a box of stuff from Partzilla. Everything just dumped in a box with zero packaging so that it can all bash together and get destroyed. Customer service reply. I should pay for return shipping and please make sure that the parts are securely packaged. I certainly wont be shopping there again.
  24. On the Kat I am currently taking apart there is a rubber piece on both sides of the sprocket sandwiched between that plate and amother at the back
