Is there a 'how to' guide for dialling in cams on adjustable sprockets ?
-
I’m Still using a standard top modded for fat bar risers bought the billet one then decided against it
-
I also have a billet top yoke conversion for these forks
-
Check your messages

I’ve found some adaptors in Italy so am converting to Brembo calipers

I have t595 forks in my bandit, if your using clip ons you'd be ok but if you want risers you'll either need a custom yoke,t509 top yoke or have to mod the risers to suit the angles on the Daytona top yoke. The forks needed extending by 50mm as the headstock is longer on a bandit thus not giving much fork travel. Yes you gain 320mm discs but you also gain 83mm centred nissin calipers which have triumph branded on them until you linished it off. But there isn't a common replacement or upgrade unless you use pretech calipers which are £312 each

I was advised 105/107 was the best setting for my 1216 bandit .

I fitted an early fireblade mudguard on a bandit I built a few months ago , also have one on my yoshimura bandit
-
Aren’t slabby carbs 34mm and a bandit 36mm ??
-
TL1000s had tokicos four pots as well
-
Nowt wrong with a bandit :-) don’t know how tokico calipers are an upgrade though

I initially used to set all my slides on the bench using a drill bit, the throttle hung and it was slow to return to tickover. When I initially balanced them on the bike using vac guages they were way out, once I'd balanced them on the bike it would rev cleanly and would return to tickover

You say the sweetest things :-)

Which engine ? I've got a few breathers one of which is much lower than the bandit 12 one, however it doesn't quite fir correctly on the bandit 12 cam cover
-
sell it, keep the cams and get the bandit head done. Gives you more potential and keeps the compression ratio sensible
-
Why fit a dot head ? 1216 wiseco pistons plus re-worked bandit head with cams would be my choice. Dot head will bump the compression a bit to high with a 1216 11:1 kit
-
Most bandits are about 115-120 bhp when allowed to breath , fitting K cams would get you about another 8-10 bhp but you sacrifice some midrange in favour of top end power
-
I feel quite pleased that I get bandit love from OSS ;-)
-
The heads heavily worked with oversize valves ,HD springs and retainers ,11k cams, 1216,full akrapovic headers nd yoshimura can, I've yet to dial the cams in, just fitted on bandit sprockets. I've got some slotted sprockets to fit which I hope will add to the midrange somewhat. The carbs are rs38's with 35mm bellmouths and foam filters never got to the bottom of who did the headwork
-
They'll be sold once I've decided which set to use.

What would be the differences in fitting either 36 or 38mm flatslides to a 1216 bandit. I currently have 38's fitted but am considering fitting a set of 36's in the hope of picking up more midrange . Benefits / disadvantages ???
