  1. Count me in if a bandit is allowed to come , it was a good laugh last time

    Cam differences

I'm fitting slotted sprockets but will consider using aftermarket cams but if there isn't a great deal of difference between the two I'll stick with the 1100 cams

    Cam differences

i'm curious as to the differences between a set of gsxr1100k cams and a set of Kent JR5 cams ?? I currently have the 1100 cams in my 1216 bandit but am considering fitting jr5's , would there be a noticeable difference ? Anyone perhaps got a set they want to part with ?
  4. You can fit the centre out of a gsxr 600/750 00-05 and retain the bandit outer basket , this gives you a 5 Spring clutch without the hassle of mix n matching various bits
  5. Thought both discs were 310mm ? The offsets are different though ones 19.5mm ones 22.5mm
  6. I do have a soft spot for ES's , keep getting tempted everytime I see one
  7. Had two micron 4-2-1 systems one 38mm bandit system, one 41mm gsxr system back to back on my bandit 12 there was 7bhp difference in favour of the narrower headers
  8. Theses are my previous microns
  9. I bought a system that had been fitted to a bandit 1200 and am trying to identify it . Its a sprung system apart from at the can which is a 51mm outlet.
  10. They don't seem to vary far from the base settings , base settings for my 38's on a gsxr1100 is 135 main jets which were fine on my 1216 we only richened them up for peace of mind so I now run 137.5's. For slow speed running richening the pilot circuit upto 20's has helped smooth things out

    2018 gsxr1100

Sorry guys, This was touted as a modern interpritation of a bandit 12 about 18 months ago
  14. Thanks for the invite Paul, it was good to finally put a lot of faces to names after many years on OSS. Fantastic weekend, thoroughly enjoyed it
  15. A bandit with an airbox is 100 or 102.5 main jet , remove the airbox and your going to be playing with various main jet sizes until you get it right but a good starting point would be say 145-150
  16. You after a pair or just the one ? Ebc do heavy duty springs as well
  17. search bandit clutch spring and there's loads to choose from
  18. Just Eblag search HD bandit clutch Spring. There's Barnett and ebc springs available. I might have a few in the garage
  19. My 1216 happily runs a 19row oil cooler ,I have a temperature guage to keep an eye on things but unless I get stuck in traffic it's perfectly fine
  20. Basically the same as my engine apart from using oversized valves and rs38's
  21. To be fair a lot of the fbm turbo bandits are just using the standard basket with a lock up. A lot of the 1216 engines are in the 200 bhp area . One springs to mind at 205 bhp that's been drag raced, toured and just used for the last 6 years without an issue. I was more interested in the feel between the two as the bandit clutch does seem quite on/ off
  22. It originally slipped at 143 on the dyno so when a lock up and spacer plate came up at the right money I just fitted them . There's part of me curious as to whether a Spring clutch with HD springs would A. Hold the power ok B. Just give a nicer feel, action when in use
  23. In two minds whether to swap from my current set up of the standard B12 diaphragm clutch with one HD and one standard Spring along with an fbm lock up and fit a gsxr750 04 5 Spring clutch set up with HD springs . Anybody fitted the 5 Spring to a B12 engine ? What are folks opinions ,preferences ?
  24. It's got comstars just like Pauls too :-)
