  1. yes its just a cover over the fuel sender, if the sender leaks fuel the cover will catch it and the fuel will drain down a hose to safety.
  2. spraymax 2K clear coat is excellent stuff, its just like what the pro's use but in a can, it has to be mixed in the can to activate it but you have to use it all within 2 days or so. used it many times with fantastic results, and its tough. but its not cheap. about £25 a can but in my mind worth it.
  3. a car one won't fit !!!!! how does a bigger bore make it easier to bleed ? just use one from a modern-ish bike like a bandit for example.
  4. points gap isn't critical but the dwell angle is, try adjusting the gap on the points that are out and see if the timing comes right. it could be after market points that are just shite !!!!!
  5. mine had the bigger UK style tank higher on the top. the others where lower on the top.

  8. one thing I noticed is, Suzuki use their own voltmeters but who owns one ? ive used the Suzuki one and used a none Suzuki one and get different readings !! I was told by a Suzuki tech to use the Suzuki one in the workshop. just a thought.

    if its coming out of the overflows on all 4 then it might be worth tapping the carb bodys with with a rubber mallet to free the float needles

  12. if their is room how about a smallish cooler and fit a fan behind it ? my GSX1400 has a fan but its rare to here it on them, but the 1400 has a very big cooler
  13. pull the plugs out, they can tell you whats going on.

    knowing how to work on a bike takes time and experience, your best to start with the basics like servicing and minor adjustments. do you know someone who knows bikes and who can show you stuff ?
  16. I had that done on the first Zed i built, it had ZZR1100 wheels on.
  17. you'll need the spring as well if you haven't got one.
  18. this is what happens when you get greedy with your 6inches I'm happy with my 5.5inches
