It might be kinder to get a priest and do an exorcism
-
yeah you are probably right, but they do get you somewhere near the settings you are after.
-
I have a colour tune with a 14mm plug thread, have you got the same but with a 12mm adapter on ?
-
yeah doesn't apply to the B12 though
-
what tuning is that ? all the jets are the same size in all 4 carbs, also the emulsion tubes, and all 4 airbox rubbers are the same as well !!!!
-
yeah i never found out what the mid (power jet) does ?????
-
the Mk2 does have a mid jet (power jet) #28 in the pic. CARBURETOR for Suzuki BANDIT 1200 2001 # SUZUKI MOTORCYCLES - Genuine Spare Parts Catalog (bike-parts-suz.com)

yeah they are fuckers for taking carb inlets/starter/genny off and sell them separate and still ask silly money for whats left.
-
some breakers ask way to much for an engine !!!! i picked up a complete B12 in a million bits for £500, the engine hadn't run for nearly 10 years but i do know the owner and bike with less than 30.000 miles on it, i did a compression test on the engine (it was out of the frame) and they wern't to bad, its now in my bandit as the bandit engine i took out has a dodgy gearbox !!!! it runs sweet. so good ones are out their. buying one with no history is a gamble but should be cheap.

I use dowty washers (seals) never had an issue yet.

my guess is a sleaved down DR125.

sounds like its still running lean, try wrapping the filters a small amount with tape and take it for a run and see if the flat spot at 3500. if its better then its defo running lean.
-
yeah he has shares in the "ACME" bomb company
-
I have an aluminium shampoo bottle on mine !!!! polished all the logo shit off first the tube from the engine fits tight in the top but i drilled a few small holes round the top so it can breath.
-
yeah thats how i see it
-
i bought a cheap one for one of my bikes, it worked fine for a while and then it was intermittent, had to strip it and sort out the contacts under the barrel !!!
-
after staring at it for some time i can see how the whole thing works but it looks like the shock doesn't compress much !!!! but if it works, it works
-
haha

not in the exhaust in the inlet rubbers. the reason why i said is ive fitted some restriction washers to other bikes is, a 600 bandit rev's and rides just exactly the same BUT when it reaches around 80-85 mph it won't go any faster.
-
might be a long shot but ive fitted a learner restrictor kit to 600 bandits, they are just big washers shoved in the inlet rubbers with a smaller hole in the middle, im probably way off but worth a look, who knows whats been done in its history !!!!
-
have you got a gear linkage on your bike ? if so make sure thats free and smooth before you delve into the engine.
-
you do get a certain amount of popping in an exhaust on carb'd bikes on the over run, but its masked by the standard exhaust so its hard to here, but on a free flowing exhaust its more noticeable.
