  1. Run the bike regularly and let it worm up over its lay up over the winter, then you keep oil going round all the moving parts and clutch, cams etc don't dry out and course you problems in spring ;)

  2. You will need to remove all parts/jets from the carbs mian jets, pilot jets, pilot screws, also remove the emulsion tubes out of the carbs. If you have not got one, a manual will help at this point.

The diaphragms should be soft and flexible or they won't work (pictures always helps.

As @TonyGee says not having the air box on and the carbs not being jetted for the extra air flow will not help with the bike running problems.

  3. Looks like I'm going to stick with the b12 carbs, they need a bit of force to get them to go on, but do fit with good rubbers ( not hard rubbers) going to have a play with the jetting, as I forgot I'd put 144 mains in to start with but never went any further as it had no stuttering or flat spots (just me being lazy xD) so could be why it feels a bit over fueling at higher revs.

The b6 carbs are going to be a real pig to get on because of the smaller carb and spacing, may work better on a 850 or 750 with a slight smaller port spacing ??

How did you overcome the bandit longer bottom yoke stem?

    Stem swap or shimmed up?
