Looks well,
Is that magazine still going, thought it died when everyone started just building cafe Racers

You can use the gsx400 carbs but as they are about the same age and there weren't as meany 409 as the 250 could be harder to find.
Measure the gs500 carbs mite fit?

The good news is, the gsx750 4v engine and engine parts are half the price of the gs750 2v parts (for second hand that is)

the 600/650 bandit swingarms look identical so im pretty sure they'll fit, you can even fit a 1200 bandit swinger to a 600.
The latter 05+ bandit 650 didn't have a toque arm as the caliper and hanger was the slide in a grove type

Welcome to OSS,
Always nice to introduce yourself before asking your first question.
As to your question, this is where the bay of evil is your friend. Have a look at the pictures. I think they have different rear brakes, hangers etc

Basically 1100 air cooled will not fit. You will need to do some very havey mods to the frame/engine cradle to make it fit.
Had a look one time at putting a gsx750et engine in a gs550 and it was no where near.
A gsxr1052 goes in well tite but they fit, the 1127/1157 engines will go but once in you can't get the cam cover off. Done both in the past.

I would make a guess that it might fit, the gsf and gsxf engines are pretty much the same. but theirs only one wat to find out
Your not wrong

Just thinking, as the gsxf one has a solid basket where as the b6 is the standard one with holes in it.
-
Dose anybody know if the older 1992 clutch out of the gsx600f will fit in the mk1 b6 ?
-
Like all things, all comes down to your presence.
Cable clutch has a better feel and much more adjustment, down side unlike a hydraulic clutch you will have to adjust a cable clutch as the cable stretch's.
Needed to convert, as above posts

If it had rubber on it I'd say one of the washers that sit under the cam cover bolts (x8)
Still looking for one of the new ones I bought when I built my b12 motor, it's somewhere
-
Just buy it whatever you then decide to do you won't lose.
-
Best way of fitting a engine in the frame, get some mates round, get some beers in and stand and whatch them do it for you when you sit and drink the beer
but save them one or they won't come and help you next time

Why don't people just changed the sprocket size for the track they are running on like the old GP racers did, didn't see them changing complete gear box for one track with short straights and lots of bends they just changed the sprocket gearing.
cheeper, quicker and easier?

+1 on the above.
Put the DOT head on the b12 motor, if you have the extra high for the carbs and have some fun
-
I believe, non

I thought Suzuki used the same size spline from the air cooled to the late oil cooled, can't say about the water cooled.
I've put a gsxr 530 front sprocket on a gs1000 with slingshot wheels before.

The b12 carbs are lighter than the ef carbs also the b12 have a much bigger air intake side, so much more air.
I know on my old gs1000 (1100cc kit) had b12 carbs and always seemed as if at full throttle it was sucking more air than it could use, no matter what main jet was in there.

Yes, RTFM
They wil only work in the right place, it looks right from what I can tell on your pic but check the manual
-
Getting a good porting job on a head is never a bad thing and I think always worth doing, you will notice the difference.

Dear I ask why you want bigger valves in a DOT head?
Are you looking at putting on the 1127cc motor?
You only need bigger valves if you're going for a big bore +1216cc the DOT head already has the same size valves as the 1127 motors and if you're going for a big bore you can get higher compression with the big bore.
Getting a head ported is always worth doing.
I don't know what your engine building is like but put bigger valves with a different compression head, you will also need slotted cam sprockets so you get the valve timing right and not hit one of them nice valves you just had put in.

What do you need? I just did my o'rings and float bowl gaskets with stuff from Litetek (just order the bits for Kat 1100) and it is good quality stuff.
Cheers,
Not 100% till I strip them down
