    Nice! Did you make those?

Made the hanger plates but got the foot hangers off the bay, you can get different styles for different bikes, say sv650 new from China for about £50 or other models for up to £150 depending on what style you like.

(they are good quality, as I've get a set on my gsx1100f project)

  2. Put it on the centre stand out of gear with the engine off/not running, turn the rear wheel by hand and see if you can hear anything, if you do probably shaft or hub. Also check the oil in the hub as this is usually never done

  3. Think they did do them for the et but like lots of things you can only get second hand ones, if they come up as they don't make/stock them anymore.

So it's a case of getting something you like and making hanger plates for them.

  4. Welcome to OSS,

Always nice to introduce yourself before asking questions ;)

also this would be better in the air cooled section, as it's a air cooled bike ;)

To answer your question, yes but all depends on what you think is not much messing :D

You would be surprised, having had come from another two-wheeled world. It developed a deep-seated paranoia....cha cha cha....

Yes but them bikes are known to self undo any and all parts xD more than the old Brit bikes leaked oil :D

  6. Had a set of the gsxr1100j tin tops on a bord out z1000j and they ran very well all the way through the range.

If I remember needle in the middle grove, standard stetting for pilot screws with a 134 main jet.

A lot of the time, if you can't get the carbs run right in one area it will be more the exhaust or end can. Had a full Cobra exhaust on a gsxr1100 could never get it to run right at bottom end but mid and top was very good, change the link pipe and end can and got it to run nice all the way through.

    So not always the carbs.

  7. As above, if you wanted to spend the money, RS or CR slide carbs will be the best.

See quite a lot of modified gsx1100 with gsxr/b12 36 mm carbs fitted, they have a bigger air intake side over the standard carbs so may preform better. Did have a set of b12 carbs on gs1000 bord to 1100cc but the b12 carbs always felt as if they where taking to much air with hard throttle and full open but that's a different motor. In the old days xD people always said the gsxr1100 34mm tin tops where the best carbs for GS/gsx but try and get a set of them these days O.o

  8. Can't really say about the carbs, but I've prefer K&N filters.

Tryed the foam ramair ones and they worked ok but the foam falls apart if it's in contact with anything.

I do have a set of the gsx1100 36mm carbs that need a clean and a home :D was thinking of putting them on a bandit 750 xD

Dont know if last message got through but this bike had a gsx 1100 put in it

I think, if you want your questions answered you need to introduce yourself and tell use what bike you really have, pictures are always helpful.

  10. Yes get one with the matching caps.

You can use your carbs and carb rubbers (engine side) like said before the DOT head will raise your carbs up slightly, so I don't know if you can use the standard airbox but I'd fit k&n pod filters and put a Dyna kit in the carbs.

You will need to replace the head gasket (but you already know that ;)) there are 4 o rings on the two oil tubes that run from the base of the cylinders up to the head front of the engine, large S shaped tubes, can be seen.

I've got a ported DOT head with gsxr750 38mm carbs on, and it really does pick its feet up.

Torques are all Chinese stuff anyhows.......

Don't know about that, the cheep Chinese black stuff, the anodising goes brown very quickly, where as the Toques stuff stays black for much longer.

So must be a much better quality Chinese stuff they get instead of the stuff on eblag

  12. The 1127 motor (slingshot) yes, the 1052 (slabside) yes but they are a bit shorter so the exhaust maybe a bit nearer the sump.

Also some of the slingshot had 4-2 exhaust instead of 4-1 which will have a different sump. All the oil cooled sumps swap you just need to get the oil pickup for that sump as well but if you did change sumps some have the oil cooler pipes at the front and some on the bottom so you may need oil lines.

Just a bit more info for the grey matter xD

On here there is always a yes but answer xD

  13. I believe the gsxr1300 Hayabusa gen1 rear shock works very well as a upgrade.

But that's for the mk1 bandit, maybe a different with the k blandit.

FBB is the man to ask on that one I would think.
