  1. I’ve got a mk2 bandit cdi on the 1052 in my EFE, just needs the secret resistor sticking in the right place and one of the VR sensors left unplugged. i can’t see why any oil cooled cdi would work with any oil cooled engine
  2. It would be a complete remap, possibly to remove the cam sensor too and VVT

Would it be feasible to take a complete loom/switchgear/sensors from a, for arguments sake a 2016 gsxr1000 stick it on your slingy and use a powercommander or similar to piggyback the Standard ECU and make it work on the oil boiler? As far as the ECU and computers would be concerned, they'd still be on the gsxr1000
  4. Worth doing then do you reckon? I've got a wideband controller that will keep the AFR in check hopefully so knock detection might not be the be all and end all. @Gixer1460 What set up are using? So far I've got a V3 (i think) MicroSquirt, a set of K2 600 TB's, a 24-2 trigger from Arttu, Found a set of 60lb Bosch injectors mega mega cheap through work an Innovate LC1 WB Controller and some Green Dyna coils. Just need an EFi type FPR and a decent pump and learn how to tune it hopefully

Just thinking aloud here so bear with me, I'm learning what I can about EFi and my experience with the Microsquirt on my 7fiddy put me off a bit but that was most likely down to me being inept than it was a dodgy system. IF I go EFi on the new engine, I probably wont be using the Microsquirt I've got because I'll want knock limitation. Has anyone retro fitted a cam sensor to a B12/ Gsxr 1100 engine? If so what benefits would sequential injection bring to a forced induction engine?

  7. Is there a noticeable size difference between the two? I know the 750 has 2 bolt holes for the side panels and the 11 has 3 but other than that is there much between them?

  10. It may need a speedo healer though unless you’re running the same gearing as the K2. I’m running 17/44 and the speedo is wildly optimistic!
  11. There's loads of shocks that'll fit, but we aware that anything with a piggy backed reservoir might foul the battery box. Get yeself another 41 posts in and you'll probably find one on here!
  12. Yes it will I'm using a MK2 Blandit sprocket cover on my 1052 engine and K2 clocks on my EFE You'll need the little pick up that bolts onto the end of the output shaft too.

  16. Unfortunately it looks like a 10 bike cap is going to be the most viable option to have a smoother running weekend. So... If anyone who confirmed interest does want to bow out, I'll do when I can to still get tickets for you so you can still get down there for the weekend for beer and waffling shit about bikes all weekend. IF I've missed anyone off the confirmed list, PM me individually and I'll stick you on there.
  17. As @MeanBean49has pointed out, a 6x6m space with 12 bikes only leaves 1x2m per bike which may be a squeeze. If we do end up with a full house we may have to rotate a couple of bikes between the Saturday and Sunday but we'll see how we go.

Katana - Spondon RSV fletch - GS imago - ET SiBag - RGV or GSXR I've got to reply to Mortons by the 20th with numbers, for Vehicle passes and Exhibitor passes and whether or not we want the bikes listed in the show program. I'm not too fussed about naming all the bikes in attendance in the programme but what's the general consensus on this? We can get them all in there if we want but I'll need all the gory details by this Friday latest. If we're not bothered about having the bikes listed in the programme then I just need the folks named above to confirm 100% and any maybes I'll get passes for. There's a 6 x 6 sqm space for us that I reckon we can comfortably get 12 bikes on, so I'll stick in for a full compliment of passes and keep y'all updated!

  20. That's more like what i was aiming at! Of course some people have years and £££'s of development in their engines so I would never expect someone to hand all the info out on a plate, but some info on how to read compressor maps properly and calculate engine CR and VE would be useful and wouldn't go outside this forum
  21. Is there such a thing? Not the principles of turbo charging itself, that's pretty straightforward but more the difference in the varying turbos out there and what differing turbine sizes mean in relation to performance etc?
