  1. Today
  2. Had a right chew on fitting the oil lines to the head kept clashing with frame tried umpteen fittings ( luckily enough a good mate is a good rich dealer) ended up with done head bolts and had to put a small indent in frame
  3. Yep your right its all the Fkin about that people who buy pre built specials never seee ended up with a Nitron shock with remote damping, rebound and spring adjustment tasty bit of kit
  4. Took me a while to get the Harris wheels and arm just right using what sound's like similar stuff. Effort is worth it though as my Turbo Magnum rides spot on
  5. so I had a head fart and have been out on the other bike doing a bit of riding hopefully numpty is back from holiday next week
  6. Not a lot done this month got a shocker sorted wheels lined up and that’s about it if you’ve never done it before it’s a PITA especially when your not sure where to start on a “normal “ build where your just changing wheels it’s not too bad. You know the rest is right so your only spacing wheels on this I was spacing wheels, swinging arm but also trying to get chain straight but using a combination of straight edges squares and string lines I got there but then I forgot I gave my lathe to my mate as I wasn’t using it. hes on holiday for a month my other mate with a lathe moving to fuckin France and number 3 with a lathe is missing in action so I’m stuck for time being
  7. A quick look on Eblag and the CDIs look the same with the same plug shapes. Couldn't see the actual pins on the 750 CDI to tell for sure. A search for a GSF750 wiring diagram was useless. Pull your CDI off and compare it to 600 CDIs on Eblag and see if the pins look the same. Another option would be a GSX750F CDI, but they seem to go for about twice what the bandit 600 CDIs are going for.

    GSF750

If it has the same plugs, it will work. some have the wider 3mm pins and the latter ones have the smaller pins and I don't know what yours would have, you'd have to have a look. But if it has this strange wire it may not help? I can't answer that, don't suppose you know anyone over there who has a b6 you could try there CDI ? I was running a 750 CDI on a b6 I built.
  9. Wraith, I wonder if a 600 cdi would cure it....they share same stroke so maybe redline is the same ?
  10. Hi Jaydee...thanks for the info. Any idea what kinda resistor I need ? A sneaky restriction that one eh ...I've looked a lot through the web and there's not a lot of info on the 750 gsf....

    RS 38 Mikuni

Yeah , expected it , been running an a HSR 48 on my T Man prepped 124” Harley for 20 years....
  13. Sump off and nice and clean in there punp strainer Is nice and clean as well well
  14. Cams are spot on and all exhaust threads are good, now with studs
  15. So for ages now I've had an idea stuck in the back of my head, never a good sign...since 750/1100 LMN aftermarket cams don't exist, has anyone ever swapped 750M cams into an 1100M? I could check my 750 factory manual for the cam specs, but that would be too easy. I've got a 750 that needs a major tuneup that I could "borrow" the cams from and an 1100 that I'm rebuilding that I could put them in. The 1100 is currently running RS38s and a full Akra system, but is otherwise stock. Interested in more top end, the RS38s already make it boring to ride around town legally. Worth a shot or save my time and just get a 1216 kit for it? No turbos on this bike!!!
  16. Yeah, that sticky needs to be updated for intake rubbers. The intakes that fit the RS carbs are the hardest ones to find now, J/K 750 intakes or teapot intakes. I've got multiple sets that are all rock hard that I need to see about sorting.

    GSF750

The bandit 750 is restricted through a resistance value from the neutral switch. Think gears 1, 2, 3 and 4 are unrestricted. Gears 5 and 6 resistance won't let cdi reach full rev range. A resistor spliced in on the pink wire ( I think, was years sgo when I did it) to the cdi fool the cdi by keeping the resistance down on 5 and 6 and allowing full rev range.

I'd say CDI but someone else will probably know more
  19. Hi,It has a worm drive and speedo cable ....
  20. GSXR K1, K2, K3 fuel caps are the same as Slingshot. I have Harris keyless on both of my Slingshot and K1 . Very happy with them
  21. Can't think of any reason to block a jet within a carb - turbo or otherwise . . . . . a guy in his shed is unlikely to know more than the Mikuni knowledge vault when it comes to carb jetting ie. if its there, its there for a reason.

Is the Speedo a worm drive or electric type? I don't know but my guess the cdi
