  2. Hello everyone, recently bought some stuff off Mark Walker, no issues but got me thinking about possibly buying one of his Alloy tube frames. He has given me a price for the frame, and I realise it will not be a cheap build. Probably looking to buy a frame and a tank to start off with but thought I would ask here about what he is like to deal with and how likely he is to keep to a stated delivery time. I take it that there are no issues with quality. Any thoughts would be gratefully received, obviously a lot of money to lay out so just trying to do due diligence before I start talking properly with him. How does he compare with GIA pricewise. Many thanks Rob.
  3. here is a bit of information on how to deristict the gsxr 400,as they have used m-max boxes as well to fool the cdi thinking its still in a low gear when in 5th and 6th.-But they are easily overcome by soldering a 1.5k Ohm 1/2 watt resistor in line with the green/yellow wire to ground which is what you could probably could do to yours to get it revving in 5th and 6th again. The resistor is a mod that owners use to lose the speed restriction from the poxy gear selector switch that Suzuki put on the bike to make it Jap legal. (put the 1.5k resistor inline with the green/yellow wire from the cdi to ground )
  4. Well lads, im after buying an ‘88 750 slingshot frame for a good deal up the country to build as a 90’s streetfighter 7/11. I want to start gathering bits for it so I was wondering what options i have for petrol tanks. I assume all of the oil cooled slingshot tanks are the same but is there different tanks that can fit? W/C tanks in particular and gsxr400 tanks also and pics ofc if possible.
  5. Just going through the trans. Was expecting more damage. Shift arms look decent but will double check. Got some new old stock 2nd and 5th gears. Putting the Factory Pro dentent arm and stiffer spring in while I'm in here.
  6. Today
  7. My 750g jdm came with a 2pc seat also
  8. Pretty sure all jdm slabbys have a fuel gauge.
  9. This is similar it's r1 on one of my slabbies.
  10. This is the linkage on my K1 1000 which is different to that. That does look like it should work though.
  11. Wondering what sports bike is it based on But if its GSXR thou 2010 on its configured wrong and the link arm is to long But maybe "bad H word" based
  12. after staring at it for some time i can see how the whole thing works but it looks like the shock doesn't compress much !!!! but if it works, it works
  13. Can you or anyone explain how that shock linkage works because I can't! - whichever way the arm moves, the shock doesn't ! ! ! Confused!
  14. Hi, yep mine is exactly the same....jap import with 2pc seat, weird jap writing bulb on idiot lights ,and a fuel gauge ( don't think uk models had that )...I have no idea why they changed seat...perhaps they had a load left over ?
  15. Wraith , I may have an old gsxf 750 cdi knocking about in my container , just gotta get it here. Don't see so many B⁶s about here, but there again they're not everywhere like they used to be in the UK. See a lot of Hardly Movingsons and ADV bikes here.....no accounting for tastes lol. I think it's just one of those things I've gotta play around with...I hate any restrictions on any bike....
  16. Yesterday
  17. Had a right chew on fitting the oil lines to the head kept clashing with frame tried umpteen fittings ( luckily enough a good mate is a good rich dealer) ended up with done head bolts and had to put a small indent in frame
  18. Yep your right its all the Fkin about that people who buy pre built specials never seee ended up with a Nitron shock with remote damping, rebound and spring adjustment tasty bit of kit
  19. Took me a while to get the Harris wheels and arm just right using what sound's like similar stuff. Effort is worth it though as my Turbo Magnum rides spot on
  20. so I had a head fart and have been out on the other bike doing a bit of riding hopefully numpty is back from holiday next week
  21. Not a lot done this month got a shocker sorted wheels lined up and that’s about it if you’ve never done it before it’s a PITA especially when your not sure where to start on a “normal “ build where your just changing wheels it’s not too bad. You know the rest is right so your only spacing wheels on this I was spacing wheels, swinging arm but also trying to get chain straight but using a combination of straight edges squares and string lines I got there but then I forgot I gave my lathe to my mate as I wasn’t using it. hes on holiday for a month my other mate with a lathe moving to fuckin France and number 3 with a lathe is missing in action so I’m stuck for time being
  22. A quick look on Eblag and the CDIs look the same with the same plug shapes. Couldn't see the actual pins on the 750 CDI to tell for sure. A search for a GSF750 wiring diagram was useless. Pull your CDI off and compare it to 600 CDIs on Eblag and see if the pins look the same. Another option would be a GSX750F CDI, but they seem to go for about twice what the bandit 600 CDIs are going for.

    GSF750

If it has the same plugs, it will work. some have the wider 3mm pins and the latter ones have the smaller pins and I don't know what yours would have, you'd have to have a look. But if it has this strange wire it may not help? I can't answer that, don't suppose you know anyone over there who has a b6 you could try there CDI ? I was running a 750 CDI on a b6 I built.
  24. Wraith, I wonder if a 600 cdi would cure it....they share same stroke so maybe redline is the same ?
  25. Hi Jaydee...thanks for the info. Any idea what kinda resistor I need ? A sneaky restriction that one eh ...I've looked a lot through the web and there's not a lot of info on the 750 gsf....
