Dezza Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Does the 600 Blandit sprocket cover and cable operated clutch actuation mechanism work on an 1100 slabside engine? I know it works on a 1200 Blandit but there are some clear differences in that area of the motors. Quote
dupersunc Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 It should do, as long as you use the correct length push rod. Quote
Swirl Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 I may have the a sprocket cover on the shelf I'll check tomorrow 1 Quote
no class Posted July 19, 2018 Posted July 19, 2018 Had a 600 teapot cover on a 1052 ..... worked fine . 1 Quote
Nickel Posted July 19, 2018 Posted July 19, 2018 Yes it works, but the connection of the shift lever is different. After the conversion you have more space between the footrest and the shift lever. Can take some pictures if you're interested. 1 Quote
KATANAMANGLER Posted July 19, 2018 Posted July 19, 2018 I'm currently runing a B6 cable clutch on my 1052. I bought some 6mm rod and made my own push rod. Works well. 1 Quote

Dezza Posted July 19, 2018 Author Posted July 19, 2018 Many thanks to all for your input. The intention is 'less-is-more' at every opportunity for my Spondon build so I should be able to use a cable clutch on the intial build (Blandit 1200) and also when it gets a slightly breathed on 1052 motor at a later date. It has to have a 1052 engine in as that is what the frame was originally built to house but all I have at the moment is a tired Frankenstein motor built out of various 750/1100 bits into 750 slabside cases, a good 1052 bottom end and a Wiseco big bore kit for a 1052.
