My Spondon has led a hard life for the last 3 years and its about due some love and attention, will be starting to pull it to pieces very shortly, giving it a complete makeover and a stronger engine.

Thought I would start by putting up some  of my fav pics from this year.

Bit of an update on this.

Frame and tank are away having repairs from the last 4 years of heavy use, and upgraded slightly.

Shock is away being serviced,

And Ive nearly finished building the new stronger engine. Im confident I should be able to run up to 20psi reliably and see in excess off 300bhp

Billet carb tops should be on their way soon.

Got a big bag of new bearings and a much stronger rear wheel spacer tube plus a box of various new bits

Pretty much ready to start chucking it back together as soon as i get the frame back. Before the bodywork goes for its new colourscheme, which will be a bit different

Will be ready to have its shakedown test at the Donington track day ready for the serious stuff if dicking about at Pendine trying to be the 1st person to hit 200mph on the sand the week after.

Hopefully it will remain together for a bit of road use and a few Cadwell trackdays and time permitting some Elvington stuff.

Love this bike. Out of curiosity, what diameter are the frame tubes?

Will measure them when i remember to take my vernier into garage. ;-)

Engine building has been happening. New motor should make a big difference, ports are way bigger and smoother than stock. Busa rods should help let it take a few more psi should it be needed too

You and I have something in common...no not the turbo, not the exotic shock but the quality street tin of fasteners....every good shed/workshop should have one ;)

More progress, frame is looking much more shiney after a good coue of hours with the autosol. Its not show quality but it aint no show bike. Once the last few engine gaskets turn up will button it up and get the motor back in the frame.

Just out of intrest Rob what thickness spacer plate did you fit under the block.

2mm mate. I measured the rods and although 2mm longer I measured 1mm difference between top of botton shell to bottom of top hole. If that makes sense.

Effectively means rod is only 1mm longer than bandit one.

But my head appears to have been skimmed so went for 2mm to keep it safe.

I will cc it all up properly to make sure but i only really put the rods in for reliability, not planning on running any more boost than before.
