The out side pad has worn away that much, it has not only gone through the pad and the anti scweel shim but has started to wear the piston as well :o

The person how was riding the bike not only feel the difference in braking but the noise from the rear brake when used steel on steel must of gave them a hint xD

that caliper still has both pistons.

A guy came to me a few weeks ago, said the rear brakes on his bike don't work anymore. When I had a look I saw one brake pad worn to the metal, and the other brake pad was gone. So was the piston O.o. Owner saw a puddle of brake fluid under his bike and decided to have it looked at.

It's a reassusing thought that we share the roads with cunts like that.

Doh O.o. It would do my head in having to work on other people's neglected bikes each and every day. That caliper looks FUBARed to me. Is it worth the trouble and cost of parts to refurbish it? Even if it was free I'd have doubts.

I've stripped it down today, and apart from the piston that's fucked. It just had one pin and one bleed nipple stuck, and the badly done gold paint xD

As I'm going to put some Titanium pistons, pins and bleed nipples in the one I got off @Svsami can use the pistons etc out of that one and bring this one back to life with a new seal kit :D I've then got a good spare for ever the gsx1157et or the miss gsxr1100 (y)
