Got this off a mate, been sat around for over 10 years, hope to get it sorted and do a track day this summer,

got some good bits fitted, carbs full dyna 2000 set up rear sets fox rear shock etc,

was going to sell it, but now I want to see how it goes, with the later wheels bigger tyres brakes and forks can only help, I hope !

give it a run round oulton park.

Welcome. I have just bought the same bike but it's been sat about a bit longer and in damper conditions an now it's  in need of a complete strip. Looks like yours has had a bit of TLC at one time and it also looks  like it has a later front end and wheels already. Maybe not much later but later:)

You might need to clean the K and N filters, looks like they're dirty. The little cone filters can limit top end power, they won't drop any power lower down though - the larger, off-set ones are better. Someone has spent  money on the bike and loved it, always a good sign - looking forward to what you think.

The RS36 is a delicate flower. They don't do well sitting in thier own juices for long periods of time. From experience I would recommend you have them cleaned and overhauled. Check out our Traders section. One of our members McMental does a discount on ultrasonic cleaning of carbs. Worth checking all the O rings too.
