Rubber softener

Hi,

My airbox rubbers are pretty hard, I've read a mixture of rubbing alcohol and wintergreen oil will soften them. Anyone used this or have any other suggestions?

I used my credit card and bought new ones for my 1135, was tired of the fiddling. Only months later i bought RS36 and sold the set.

Hot air gun, makes them nice and soft for you to get the carbs in, they will go hard again (without using the little blue pill )

Wintergreen only makes them soft for a while, then they go hard again

somebody said put them in a plastic bag with WD40,  ive had one in a bag for months and its still fecking hard   you can't beat new ones

Lamp oil also softens but makes it also bigger

Some boils them in water. Dont know how much it last. I usually replaced with  new ones, less fiddling and cracking..
