buff Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 I’ve got some cams I’ve had kicking around for a long time. Marked up 23 in and 27 ex can anyone confirm what these are ? I was told 1100k cams when I got them about 12 years back Quote
SiBag Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 I don't think the numbers mean that much. The only way I know would be to measure the. I think @fatblokeonbanditposted something on cams a while ago, or was that just a dream..... Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Crikey that was ages ago, ill try and find the pictures, But the 23/27 cast into the shaft are just that casting numbers apparently, there is a letter stamped on the RH end face that, also apprently, denotes the grind.... Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 It was along time ago, but I think the letters stamped on the end were both B's 750 J/K Both N's B12 one B one S 1100K??? one B one G 1100 power screen???? 2 Quote
Dezza Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Is that they all have the same inlet cam except 1200 Blandits, and all have different exhaust cams? (I assume for 1100K and powerscreen you state inlet first and then exhaust). Any info for slabbies? Quote
wraith Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Can't remember who and I've deleted it from my phone but they put a full listing of all cam numbers for most if not all oil cooled motors. Quote

It was along time ago, the only ones i listed are ones i actually took the engine apart and knew which ones were which, so no slabbies im afraid.. this of course asumes that the oigional cams were in the engines I had to bits.. 2 Quote

Dezza Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 I have some 1100 slabby cams in a box in my shed. I will try and dig them out ove the next few days. It would be useful to have all this info in a table in a sticky in the oil-cooled section 2 Quote
coombehouse Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 For info, mk2 bandit has inlet marked N, exhaust marked W. The exhaust has less lift than the MK1 exhaust cam. Gsxr750l inlet & exhaust are marked M. Inlet cam has same lift as desirable B marked cams below, exhaust has more lift & duration than MK2 bandit, less than MK1. Gsx1100f power screen has B marked cams so same as gsxr750j/k & gsxr1100k/l. Most lift & duration of all the cams. 1 Quote
cnap504 Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 I’ve heard it mentioned before but what is a powerscreen? Quote

cnap504 Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 I thought maybe they had screens in the air box. Power adjustable windscreens , now I know 2 Quote
