Captn Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Anyone on here know of any stateside shows/meets this year? I'm on the east coast. Quote
Jaydee Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Welcome to O.S.S. Although this site has members from all over the world, a majority of them are European based. There are a handful of members from the U.S. on here but you would probably be better off asking on more local bike social sites to find out about meet ups and bike runs in your area. Quote
Captn Posted March 3, 2020 Author Posted March 3, 2020 Thanks Jaydee. I figured this was mostly EU guys. You all have a much stronger sport bike following over there. Nice. I was stationed in Germany in the early 90's and noticed the massive sport bike following. Wish we had that here. Oh well, at least we get WSBK, MotoAmerica, and Real Road racing on the TV. LOL. Thanks again!! Quote

Captn Posted March 3, 2020 Author Posted March 3, 2020 Exactly brother. 'hood rat rides (as I call them) are a true virus. Keep them in their track functional form I say. Quote
ElBlandito Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) I'm on East coast in MD. Believe @rdubanditis NC. I will be in Charlotte around the end of May. Would be cool to meet up. There's a guy with a draw through 1100 in Lancaster PA Edited March 3, 2020 by ElBlandito Quote
Captn Posted March 3, 2020 Author Posted March 3, 2020 Excellent. Are you going to VIR for MotoAmerica race in May by chance? Quote
Poldark Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 I'm in Virginia about an hour's drive south of Richmond. We have a few OSS members scattered up and down the US east coast. What type of events are you looking for? Quote
Captn Posted March 4, 2020 Author Posted March 4, 2020 Thanks Poldark. I'm just south of you a bit in NC. Looking for bike nights, shows, general hanging out . VIR race is in May. I plan on going. You? Quote
rdubandit Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 VIR is just 80 miles from my house. I haven't been up there for a year or three, so it may be fun to meet up. Quote
Captn Posted March 5, 2020 Author Posted March 5, 2020 RDUbandit. I'm in. I'm in between Raleigh and Fayetteville . Judging by your name you must be as well. Quote
Poldark Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 I hadn't thought much about it, so I went to the VIR website. Prices are reasonable, military veterans get 50% off admission, kids get in free with paying adult. Just have to convince the wife to buy herself a full price ticket and we'll have a family weekend activity. Do any of our OSS friends across the Atlantic want to attend? Have a quaint vacation experience lodging with an American OSS family. https://tickets.motoamerica.com/event/motoamerica-superbikes-at-virginia---may-1-3-2020 Quote
Captn Posted March 5, 2020 Author Posted March 5, 2020 (edited) Now we're getting somewhere Poldark. Sounds like we need to make it happen. rdubandit and I are about 2.5 hrs south of VIR. Edited March 5, 2020 by Captn Quote
Poldark Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 Wife is open to going. We just have to look over the schedule of events and decide what we want to buy tickets for; make it a family outing. So if we meet up, keep your behavior family friendly. Quote
BigT Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 There's a big GS rally in southern IND every year Not sure if there's any closer to you Quote
Poldark Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 I would definitely like to go to a big GS rally but Indiana is a long day's drive. A closer one would be great. All of us OSS North America members are so spread out. The UK members are practically neighbors. Quote

Some UK locations are closer for me - as a Dutch bloke - than the "locals" 1 Quote
Captain Chaos Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 and don't forget that we are all over Europe. For me just reaching the UK would already take two days at least. Quote
scott-s Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 I'm in South Carolina, about 20 miles south of Charlotte. Any of you ever make it to the Barber Vintage Festival? Quote
Captn Posted March 20, 2020 Author Posted March 20, 2020 @scott-snice to meet you. That fest sounds cool. Barber Motorsports in Ala.? Do you go? Quote
scott-s Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Yes.... missed last year but plan on going this year. Mind blowing place/event. Quote
