RickC Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Hi all, I'm looking to put an GSX1100 into a GSX750ET, would anyone have a CAD file or drawing to share? I have an engineering firm local to me that does waterjet cutting for the right price if I can find a drawing. Cheers, Rick Quote
wraith Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 I think it's only the bottom brackets (under the front side covers) that are different. 1 Quote
Blubber Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 I can't remember needing different mounts... Maybe i used the 1100's or modified the 750. Think only thing needed was drilling the lower frame mount slightly bigger. 1 Quote
no class Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 750 frame lower mid mounts are different than 1100..... all the rest of the mounting are the same . 1 Quote

yoshi Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 hi rick I think the breather box on top of the cam cover is a tight fit may need a bit of work on the frame there from what I can remember yoshi Quote

no class Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 I can understand using a cad drawing for a “complete” motor mount plate fab.... but just for the lower mids ??? you already have the frame hole centers on your original bracket...,surely you can make the one remaining hole or are you just lazy ? 1 Quote

Yes I could make one, I spent two days making an 15mm thick aluminium dovetail as part of my apprenticeship, but I would rather spend the time on something else, the cost of a pair water jet cut out of stainless or alloy is well worth me not doing it and I get to support a fairly priced local business that doesn't rip off locals wanting small project jobs done in between their larger jobs. Gammaboy Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Sorry, while I was off work sick yesterday I went to look for the cad, but the wife had used the bluetooth dongle for the mouse and keyboard in her laptop, and taken it to work with her. Will try to get it sorted over the weekend for you. 1 Quote
Gammaboy Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Unfortunately, i've discovered that I've got it as a mastercam file, which i can't open. sorry. Quote

No worries, Thanks for taking the time to look. I will put one up once I get it drawn up, cut and proved. Cheers, Rick Quote
baldrick Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 why not just post up the dimensions? from the bottom bolt centres Quote
RickC Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 7 hours ago, baldrick said: why not just post up the dimensions? from the bottom bolt centres I can do that, I have to pull out the 750 engine and finish stripping the 1100 engine down to a bare case so it may be a week or three depending on what else I have going on. 1 Quote
