Bikes without an exhaust beneath the engine always have a supermoto look to it. The low brace and loads of air around the rear wheel makes it look tall too. But I don't think it's actually that bad. Mass centralisation seems to be really good actually, as there seem to be fuck all in front of the forks and in the seat unit. The tank is probably alloy and the seat is just some foam. With the rider aboard it might sag a good inch as well..

Seems like it's quite a well known and loved bike.. makes putting a price on it quite difficult.
  3. I suppose Yosh cams are racy, which suggest they could sacrifice midrange punch. Are there no figures or sheets about to get an idea what they'll do with a similar configuration? What riding style do you enjoy most, riding the wave of torque or wringing it's neck?

    Suzuki Nuda

That Nuda boasts some super cool features! Hollow carbon fibre wheels, f me that ahead of it's time innit?
  5. Fuel injection is main stream for a good 2 decades now. When racebikes still spend days on the dyno to get the fuelling spot on, I'd stick with getting that sorted first! And resort to 'analogue' traction control for the time being. Avoid massive surplus of power for the speed with appropriate gearing, predictable power (curve) at various throttle openings, make most of tires, suspension and chassis. Get good feedback from the bars and seat of the bike.. stuff like that.

The polished fork blends in very well
  7. Fucksticks.. virtually everyone fucked of for a ride before I got there! I hope everyone had a good time, weather was amazing!
  8. I must have underestimated the Oss ambition for this meet, thought it was just going to be people and bikes at the chip shop
  9. Usually it's just a nice sunny day watching short sprints.. with all sorts of people and bikes. Not sure why you wouldn't like it but I guess you can ask @Quist how it's like?
  10. They have oilcoolers of their own you know, and they give them a bloody good thrashing as well..! I reccon Oss would slot straight in..
  11. The second weekend of september it's Mosseltreffen at the Lost Ones..
  12. When your steering input is a bit jittery from all the coffee you had, it'll smooth things out a bit.

    Aesthetics at the time, possibly?
  14. Even old Nissin's seem to keep impressing people. Apparently they have better corrosion resistance behind the dustseals. So corrosion won't push the seals out and make the pistons stick. Gold 6 pots are better though. Lighter pistons, easier to bleed due to one fluid passage between the caliper halves. Might still be necessary to bleed the calipers while lying on their side though.
  15. Stock TLS radiator is 21x38x3cm. They are specified for running in hot environments, partly clogged by dirt and so on. It's up to you how much cooling capacity you will actually need the way you ride. Less width would certainly make them more crash proof, the stockers tend to get bent when the fairing pushes them in. Nowadays most TLS run a bypass from the thermostat housing to the pump. It aids evenly warming up the cooling system, but after that it might cost flow and cooling across the radiator. Would be interesting to increase bypass capacity and fit and inverse thermostat. The shorter coolant route should 'bypass' the radiator until the thermostat closes the shortcut. That would leave all pump capacity flowing across the radiator without the usual thermostat obstacle..
  16. Never heared of anyone doing it. If it's clean and works well, it should be fine?
  17. It's your bike! However the silver goes well with the wheels and tank, if you have to ask.. If the other ones have been upgraded, then it's a different matter!
  18. Very curious how that'll turn out! Some other guy wrapped a TL tank with carbon.. while it didn't look like carbon fibre on the pictures, probably because it wasn't done "properly" it kinda looked cool in a snake skin sort of way. Also curious how it'll hold up with the deleted rad mount too!
  19. All that pondering about technical stuff is great, I do it all the time too. But sometimes you have to say, fuck it.. let's ride!
  20. Maybe for the better.. keep m rare and cool
  21. Be sure to check Dupersunc's thread and drool al over his lovely Astralites :smitten Someone said they're still selling these wheels?! however, I don't know if you could get them through tüv..
  22. Hmm the noise that comes from beneath the tank on a TLR.. nice ain't it :smitten
  23. I'm with mr kat, makes the most sense from your story!
  24. Lovely set of brakes! Have you checked if the seals are still retract the pistons properly?
