    Seat unit

Probably station the obvious, but tail light seems very slabby shaped.
  2. Clearly you've never met me But glad to be of use.
  3. 31,98mm od for 7,45mm 39mm od for 17,10mm Id 28mm Chamfer (?) swingarm side ID approx 0,5mm by 0,5mm Other edges seem to have a chamfer about half as big.
  4. Stick a vacuum cleaner on it, maybe it'll make a small fire tornado
  5. You're right, spindle size seems more early 90ies too..
  6. It's unlikely for a TLR frame to develop issues. Headstock nor rotary damper mount. Though the S frames, especially the older casting.. you're totally right!
  7. To be honest I've never seen anyone do it with the stock suspension. But the soas (spring on a stick) is fitted into a fork that can be adjusted. Maybe the arm on the rotary can be taken off and repositioned one teeth out, at a suitable position to match a raised soas. Or ditch the heavy, crude rotary. And fit something decent. Better make sure the cast stock rocker+bearing is in good shape or get a shock with a billet one. Another option is to replace the swingarm pivots. Though +1mm only nets you about 3mm at the wheel, which is probably a bit modest.
  8. Hopefully he don’t end up like sweary Bob neither.
  9. That's one way to get the Tip Over Sensor right way up
  10. Something for the previous owner certainly seems in place for this one. And tell her it'll take a fair bit to get into the red on this one! You might want to check the clutch pushrod behind the sprocket cover. If it's covered in dried out grease it's bad news for the seal and could start to leak oil. Which in turn might be bad news for the WAF (wife acceptance factor).
  11. You have the fairings with it as well? Ok you can stop making us jealous now. The fuelpump gasket needs very little torque on the bolts so be careful with that. Might also be an idea to change the filter and pump when you are in there. Haven't done it myself yet but from memory the pump itself is used in Suzuki cars from the same era. If you go to the dealer they'll only sell you a complete assembly. And if you change the air filter, find one that ommits the current filter + baseplate. This will open up the airbox and make it sound like an ecstatic bear on wot.
  12. Looks like a bargain.. do you have a plan for it?
  13. That’s an interesting point.. makes sense to have a tube that won’t sag around the smaller axle. Seems reasonable it would loose some bearing sleeve clamping area.
  14. Certainly a lot of good, cheap radial calipers around to make it an effective thing to do. Sometimes they even come with fresh pads!
  15. Lovely bit of kit.. PFM should consider bringing back the axial calipers imo..
  16. They also can look out of place on an old bruiser.
  17. They could be Triumph nissin's? Afaik Yamaha 90mm calipers never fit Kawa/Suzi 90mm.

    Pardon

A mate once made one with a (wood) router.
  19. Go on, spill the beans? Will there be enough play in the timing that pistons could hit valves without a pensioner?
  20. Seat unit suits it deffo.. wheels could pass for Marchesini's.. bike just has a cool raw look to it. Never mind what we would make of it, where do you think looks like it needs a little something..?

Logic suggests old engines are bigger in dimension. Have you measured the width between frame spars?

    How big is your hammer?
