  1. my '91 engine also has R716 code. 748cc is '88 - '89, 749cc is '90 - '92. Displacement is writen on the left side of the barrels.
  2. it has the nipple on the clutch cover so yes it's a longstroke ('90 to '92) Slingshot. Valve adjusting by screw & locknut: '90. By shim: '91 or '92.
  3. Actually the GSX1100SR (the first Final Edition) was a 1994 model, production started in late 1993, so technically spoken OP could be talking about a real 1993 Katana.
  4. Easiest solution is to install an 1100 engine.
  5. that's what the fairing is for
  6. why do you want hydraulic clutch?
  7. What he says ^^^ Slingshots have the clutch operation on the clutch cover, not the sprocket cover. It is possible but some work involved (don't know exactly what).
  8. Ah yes i was confusing it with the Motronic of the newer versions. Sorry 'bout that. But as you said, way off topic.
  9. LE Jetronic according to the manual i have. No flap valve. My old man had one of these things
  10. BMW K100 flying brick had efi in 1984 (Bosch LE Jetronic)
  11. Hi and welcome to group therapy. A small introduction in the general section is appreciated. hoses 3 & 4 are breathers, they should be left open, pointing down behind the air filters. 5 looks like a vacuum hose. One end goes to the carb top/intake rubber #4, the other end should be blocked off if it's not connected to the fuel tap.
  12. ground cable between engine and Battery - ?
  13. and don't forget that we are all over Europe. For me just reaching the UK would already take two days at least.
  14. what's the plan @Havoc? Rip out the engine for in your Katanaha (Is that finished yet by the way?) and sell the frame?
  15. could have gone to a better home I've got some space in the living room.
  16. no. Bit of crankcase between the holes.
  17. sorry, I missed this bit. I assumed you bought the bike with the immobiliser fitted. Anyway good that you found the malfunction.
  18. Put it in the bin. Aftermarket alarm systems are all shit, sooner or later they stop operating in the prescribed manner. Rip it out and connect the bikes wires as original.
  19. Welcome. Nice bike, ruined by blue handlebar end weights IMO.
  20. The time oil spends in the cooler depends on the size of the cooler, not how many times it passes through it. The amount of oil going through the cooler is constant (determined by the oil pump), if 1litre/sec. is pumped into the cooler, 1l/sec has to go out the other end. If the cooler is 1 litre in size, oil stays 1 second in it. If it is twice 0,5l (double pass, same size), oil still stays 1 second in the cooler. Simples
