  1. Slabby 750 frame, got these 2 tapped holes in lower back LH frame rail. Any idea what should go there?
  2. Fair enough, going on the above posts, you know what you are doing
  3. Really? So you would risk the head if you chucked it down the track? Although this is NOT my area of expertise, just a thought
  4. Cam plugs! That makes more sense. Although like the sliders you can get to protect lump always seemed a bit iffy, could end up wrecking head for sake of some other cheaper bits?
  5. Although i'm trying to picture this in my mind, from previous experience the cam caps are a weak point in engines i've messed with. M7 thread & poorly tapped into the cam caps which i always thought were made of wensleydale! I usually ended up tapping & helicoiling em cos they were so poor!
  6. I'd guess (and u can put em alongside eachother) that they are the same. Only worry i had was cogs, but i'm sure the 750's all had same teeth.
  7. Least the cogs are prob the same
  8. Count the teeth on both, can't remember wot the different amounts are, but the 1100 & 750 def have different. You can swap the gear off the ends tho. Just make sure its well loctited on. And also i don't think the reg/rec is available seperately, it's the whole Alt you will prob have to get
  9. If it's doing it with another Alt, then either they're both fooked, or i haven't got a clue? Also the Alts have different amounts of teeth on em & could destroy your Alt/clutch if they don't match
  10. way too much, it'll boil your battery. Deffo the reg/rec in the Alternator end cover as @dupersuncsaid
  11. Hahaha, ur right, getting me air & oils mixed up! Apologies, get another Alt @bigpants
  12. Agreed, but a bit of cheap reflective surely improves it much more?
  13. What do u mean Dunc? Iv'e run a Honka, Electrex & a Yamhaha on previous boilers!
  14. As he says, get the reg/rec done/replaced & hope your battery is still salvageable
  15. Cost mate, might go down that road in the future with engine mods etc. This is just me being a bit thinky
  16. I understand the logic when it comes to "modding" cos of engine/carb/frame issues & that is fair enough. However, the one i have has the 4x carb holes totally uneven (No modding can cure that) & as mentioned, the creases from the original shape make it extremely hard to get a good/reasonable fit. So on that note, i apologise for getting carried away with my dissatisfaction at the product. And as an addition, i would think that without putting a reflective coating on the front side (not expecting seller to do that) it will be pretty pointless?
  17. Not thought it out tbh, the tank i have (1100 humped) is a 45mm spacing & it has been modded at the rear mount to attach to the Z750 subby! So unless i start more modding on another tank, i best stick with this one
  18. This was brought in on the old site to stop people joining, selling (and ripping off) & then disappearing. Not the best safety measure, but a bit of a helper
  19. I bought a Guillari from Italy for the Yosh GS1000 & it was fookin awful for £125. Sent it back & got a local car upholsterer to do it for £120 on original frame, with piping ,a mild step & non slip vinyl. Well worth asking any local bods if they can do it
  20. That's cos you shit on the wall
