It could be, but the thing that's putting me off that is the mileage. Nothing's guaranteed until you have it open obviously, but usually if it's wear from high mileage you'll start to hear bearings first. If the mesh teeth pit or chip that's usually (again not always) down to poor oil, lack of oil, abuse, or something getting mashed in between them.

theirs only one way for Russ to find out though :tu

  3. the problem with mass produced frames is getting them perfect,  I was told on a Suzuki course that a frame could be up to 3mm out at the headstock !!!!  but that was acceptable !!!!!!!    just like the adjuster marks  on a swingarm, you set them right and then do a wheel alignment and the wheels are out of line O.o  we had 2 long alignment beams (made for the job) to get the wheels in line.

fit an APE clutch cable & bracket that changes the cable run, that helps. SPS sell them, thats what I did

I looked at them but wasn't gona pay the price for one and find out it didn't work !!!  so i made one (rough as fuck) but it did the same job. routed the cable round the side of the cylinder up to the lever and it felt just the same to me ????   just one of those things i suppose :/

  6. da jar vue !!!!   I had the same issue with mine, I m afraid thats how they are.  i have R.A. so it was painful for me. but i used standard suzuki springs. a new cable well lubed and I even fitted a tiny bearing to the lever pivot. all helped but still not light.

My MOT men are a father and son team who are friends of mine. Even though it doesn't need a MOT if God forbid a accident did happen I can prove to the insurance companies that my bike is road worth :tu

I had this out with my insurance company, they said having no MOT will not effect the outcome in an accident, but we all know insurance company's >:(

but at the end of the day they would have to prove that the bike wasn't road worthy wouldn't they ?

I'd never really considered the effect sand would have on a bike, it must be a bloody nightmare.

yep its a killer !!!!  my first bike when i was 14 was a TS125,  I live on a small Island so surrounded by sand, and every weekend me and my mates where on the beach and in the sand hills having fun. it soon wrecked the bike :/
