that seams odd
I think what I would do is strip the switch and check/clean the little copper sliders first just to rule them out.

sounds like one of the float valves is slightly leaking, they will over fuel giving a rich mixture and fowl the plug, but when you wind it on the extra fuel gets used and runs good. run it round at low revs for a while so its popping again then check all the plugs, if one is black and sooty theirs your problem.

TPS relates to ignition advance.
I noticed a difference on several bikes that would not idle nicely before adjustment.
Better idling and a bit smoother acceleration without hesitation.
Some may not notice it especially on a Bandit or XJR because of the massive torque they have at low rpm.
Many use ignition advancers that disguise a badly set TPS so will not notice it.
yes on bikes like a GSXR1000 and others will make a difference, but not with a bandit. ive yet to come across one that adjusting it makes and change !!!!!

haha you just had to disagree eh ?
Well, agreed as far as bad set TPS usually causes low rpm rumbling, no backfires.
Not checking .. well ... they do something.
I like my bikes set up optimal, so i do check them.yep
in my experience ive disconnected the TPS on a few bikes as well as my own and cant tell any difference what so ever !!!!!!! others will tell you the same thing that they don't do feck all. can't see the reason why suzuki fitted them to the bandit
it doesn't even show up on a dyno.

May want to check the TPS ..
I disagree as they do feck all, but thats my view

this is why the GSX1100 forks are the best to keep the ride height as close to standard as possible. but like i keep saying they are hard to find in good condition.

I think the step yoke is the only way to go

I'd still completely remove the PAIR's though. you can make blanking plates for the cylinders or buy a set of stainless ones of the bay of E.
-
imago might be on to something their, worth checking all the ignition system wiring and the connector plugs for a good connection.

I've run Bandit 12 wheels with standard discs on a WP 1100 front end. It needed a 2mm spacer (penny washer) on the calliper to fork mount for the callipers to run central.
yep, me too

Winter green is a muscle strain rub.
My dad used to sware by it.
Definitely available in UK
I remember the smell back in the late 70's at school here in the UK, some of the lads used it when playing rugby in the cold.

has it got the OEM exhaust can on it still ?
-
first thing is completely remove the PAIRs system as they dont need it, some bandits really prefer a Genuine Suzuki air filter not a hiflo.
-
if you are inventive you could make some sort of jacking bolt with a small point to force it out, but with a flat base for a level and to protect the carb.
-
agree with eddie, also has it got a fuel filter on it ? if so replace it or bin it.

Cheers all...is there any electric modds
not really, the rev limit is higher on the 600 though so done over rev it. what carbs are you wanting to use ? and what about brakes and suspension ?

Ita stuck in the hole im trying to push it down it just wont budge, any ideas how to push it down maybe im doing it wrong
are you trying to push the broken tip down where the mixture screw goes ? if you are your going the wrong way !!!!! push it from the bore of the carb up and out of the mixture screw hole. it'll never come through the tiny hole in the carb mouth.

has the tip jammed in the hole ? if it has it might be sticking out so you will be able to push it out with something hard.

I think the generator cover is used just to block the main oil gallery bore in the top case. As far as I recall there isn't any splash feed there. The main gallery supplies the crank bearings and head through head studs. As shown in diagram above.
my 83 engine has a plug in the upper crank case thats held in place by the generator cover.

Hi
that with the slightly longer lever really works???
I once addressed the same problem in a Suzi forum, because someone said that it didn't work because the path was too long or something similar... some kind of physics stuff with levers...
I've been toying with the part of https:// for a long time. www.webike.de/products/21416335.html
Cheers
Uli
thats a nice bit of kit
but way to expensive i think !!! mine was free but not as trick. i find pulling the clutch lever near the end also helps, still not as light as other bikes but a big improvement.
