  1. Yep, definetly ripe for modding!! One i did a few years back, with a 1200 lump, srad front end, K1 1000 shock, Bandit 6 deep braced arm and a Bandit 12 rear wheel, paint was based on an idea around the 'teapot' name, hence Yorkshire Teapot!
  2. Ah.....bit too nice to smash up, so i'll be taking this beauty instead!!
  3. Cheers! I ended up taking the sump off for a better look......found what looks like kitchen roll blocking the strainer!! All flushed out and back together, oil light unsurprisingly went out!!
  4. Now then......just bought a cheapy teapot 6, previous owner had stripped it for a winter refurb (paint, chassis bearings/seals/tyres/chain ect ect....) and he also tidied up the motor, and in his infinite wisdom filled his sump with EP 80 gear oil........i bought it because the oil light wouldn't go out with ideas of doing a whitham '88 rep with better forks/wheels and brakes as well as a 750L motor i have languishing in the corner, but with an eye on Dirtquake in July first......so, after draining said treacle out (oil cooler off, filter off too!) would you have thought i'd need to take the sump off, strainer and oil pressure valves to clean them out too? Just refilled it with fresh motul and a new filter and the bugger is staying on after spinning it over with the plugs out that's all!

    7/11's

Oooh....too many variations on the theme to mention, but these are two of my better ones, the schwantz 7/11, and my current steed, a 750ES but with powerscreen 1127 (oil cooled so allowed on here!!) motor.
  6. This was my solution for a customer, i made a box for the adaptor plate to sit in then welded it into the bottom of the tank and that worked a treat!
  7. I adored this, saw it in the back of the van and i couldn't get across quickly enough to have a look! It's very tastefully done and a credit to Tim!
  8. If all goes well, i should have Paul West's slabby finished in time, he's doing the trackday on it so it will be available for the stand if need be
  9. Looks like something Anders Andersson would have raced back in '86! Proper sorted as usual mate, well done!!
  10. Had a set on my old 1052, with a V&H pipe the old bus flew!! Far better than the tin tops.
  11. Now that, in Whitham's 88 colours (Blue n' White, Men only) would be something else! Maybe not the Durex colours as i don't think you could pull it off.....sorry, couldn't resist!!
  12. Strange, but they're both listed as holding 19ltrs despite being different!
  13. A bit late now john.....now if you'd mentioned it 5 years ago!!
  14. One i did earlier.....couldn't find the unobtainable H section Yoshimura use so i used 25x25x3 ally box!
  15. The 86 1100 slabby had a flatter tank similar to the 85-86 750, changed to the humpier style in 1987.
  16. And here in it's second incarnation with aforementioned SRAD front end, B12 rear wheel and mucho modified frame and swinger, 750 K3 shock and linkage, plus a bandit 12 lump.
  17. Now then......on the Yorkshire Teapot i used the 600 stem into SRAD 750 yokes with a bit of machining and a spacer for the top yoke, you'll need to make some new lockstops if you do! Although i'd be tempted to go with some slingshot 750 rwu forks if you're keeping it as a sleeper! 750 J rear wheel will go in with some spacers and a new caliper hanger knocked up from some 8-10mm ally plate, although on the Teapot i built, i scalloped the frame underneath for clearance and used a bandit 6 arm which i deep braced but to be honest the 4.5J rim will be wide enough for sticky rubber and is a lot less hassle than the route i went down!! This is the ol' ratter in it's first incarnation complete with it's 4.5J rear wheel.
