measure inside dia, outside dia and height then google bearing shop ,taper way better than ball, or search that site for year and model ,

tighten extractor up really tight then a couple of hit on end of extractor with large cub hammer. i stripped the the fine threads using a rattle gun

ape say screw in till finger tight then back off 1/4 of a turn then lock, that's how i do mine

thats a lot of strain on the rubbers it could have caused the split as they get softer when warm and droop ( ooer) some sort of support would help,

are your carbs supported? as they are quiet heavy

i use std ones with my 38s as well, just warm the rubbers up first as well as the red rubber or silicon grease

i've got 38s on mine had to go up on pilots to get mixture screw in the recommend range, the jetting guide they give you is a starting point i think they included different sized pilots as well as mains when new, try the other coils and see what happens good luck

a breaking down coil can give a fat spark when viewed out of the cylinder but may only produce a weak spark under compression, what carbs you using sounds like jetting for rs36's

the resistance reading on the dyna coils should be about 14k so one sounds well out see link for test readings https://www.mpsracing.com/instructions/Dynatek/DynaS_Testing.pdf

are you sure it's the pads and not the disc bobbins? you could also try new pins ,no shim shown on parts between pads & piston

cheers for the reply i just wondered if there was any gains to be had over the dyna s. i have the kill switch wired so i can spin it over then flick it on after the last starter clutch went

thinking about getting a dyna 2000 for my 1229 efe has skimmed head .they have retard wires to retard ignition by 5, 10 , deg when earthed .on my 3rd stater clutch was thinking i could have a button just for starting, and generally are they worth the money ? running dyna s at the mo, not too sure about the mech advance retard

i've got an efe engine in my F1 frame and can still get rocker cover off. think they were made for gs 1000 engines

a lot of places do different end cans in 64mm got mine from a certain action site good quality can't remember the name as was a while ago
