  1. But those 6 pots and the 4 pots are 90 mm spacing…. all the Brembos I have, the lettering is cast in and raised up, not painted on.
  2. First track day booked, classic bike on at castle coombe 29th April, I need more time ti finish this and try it out properly. But everything is conspiring against me, I'm off abroad Friday so another weekend lost Its all Putins fault, No really it is!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway a gratuitous photo after doing tyre pressures.
  3. Here you go very good nick and the actuator is in really good condition as well
  4. I’ll dig it out and have a look
  5. As DEZza said, teapot 750/600 and mark 2 bandit 600 all fit, the push rod s are different lengths depends if it’s fitted to B12 or gsxr 1100 or power screen motor..
  6. I thought you meant the plates.?? no idea if the whole thing is interchangable
  7. part numbers different and look very different
  8. one of these bottom right, its one of the 4 plain steel washers that go under the 4 outer nuts on the head studs...
  9. Noooooooooooooooooo tooo small, took ages to find the Mahoosive headlight
  10. Thank you sir.. The frame is the one thing I cant make my mind up, its a bit rough in bits and needs re powder coaitng. BUT what colour???????? i quite like the white but i also like the gunmetal grey shiny stuff.. For this summer its staying as is.. I might doe the seat blue to match the front mudguard but not sure.. Few bits to finish off, make the back brake work in case i need to get MOT, and the carbs need sorting properly.. few clips and cable attatchemnts as well. then use the thing and see how it goes... But all in all very pleased with the way its turned out... before ............. after,........
  11. I used new Dormer HSS drill, I “ Borrowed”: them from work, but they aren’t expensive. as to speed, I don’t know what rpm, all you need to do is use a variable speed drill and slowly sped it up until it started cutting correctly.. In a pillar drill or lathe, small drills should spin at 3000 I think, up to 6 mm if I remember correctly, I did try and find my Zeus table but it’s gone AWOL
  12. Ive done 3, they have all been case hardened, not made from hardened steel. I've been told several time its impossible and one bloke called me a liar and said I hadn't done it!! Its not rocket science, use good quality sharp drills and go up in stages, use the correct speed and off you go. I started this one with a centre drill then 3,4 and 5mm. they cut so well i didn't even use any cutting fluid.
  13. Nice swap with jdeac for a b12 stem
  14. so the bolt in the end of the crank has some clearance in a crash
  15. Dug out some parts to flog to pay for a set of shiny casings then realised that under the teapots fairing these were lurking!!!! So I pinched them
  16. Yup not wrong shipmate.. And when talking to the bloke on the phone, he said dont quote me but, if you apply at the post office and they forward the forms all stamped and tax paid ( £0) it will be processed as normal..? Ill just go and see the lady at the post office and see what happens
  17. thats what I first thought but this is where the ambiguity starts, If its taxed as Historic then Q plate is OK. One person on the phone said that If I know the date of manufacture and its over 41 years, than tax it as historic and the V5 will be changed. ????????? Ive got proof of date of manufacture, so ill fill all the forms in and hand in the proof of date and see what happens... And as to the "modifed" bit we can gloss over that.. In addition if a vehicle (including a motorcycle): • has been issued with a registration number with a ‘Q’ prefix; or • is a kit car assembled from components from different makes and model of vehicle; or • is a reconstructed classic vehicle as defined by DVLA guidance; or • is a kit conversion, where a kit of new parts is added to an existing vehicle, or old parts are added to a kit of a manufactured body, chassis or monocoque bodyshell changing the general appearance of the vehicle; it will be considered to have been substantially changed and will not be exempt from MOT testing. However if any of the four above types of vehicle is taxed as an “historic vehicle” and has not been modified during the previous 30 years, it can be considered as a VHI
  18. That's plan C .... I had started making some spacers then got the hump and stuck it all in a drawer until later!!!
  19. Yup got all the paperwork correct but the V5 says that the first reg was 95, but I've got proof of build date that JB got so I have to persuade her that it's all kosher.....
  20. So just about finished off all the hoses and stuff, don't look to bad now. But the most difficult bit is next, persuading the old Bat in the post office to stamp my Historic tax classification change paperwork.!!
