  1. Not the best pic but the only one since lowering it.....it does sit slightly lower when off the stand (sag)..
  2. Peeps,I have an EFE with K1 series forks,1100 stretched swingarm and K5 shock. The bike sits on it nose a little, which looks cool but a recent rwyb at the strip showed an issue with traction on the rear tyre.I am not intending to get into drag racing seriously as I haven't the money, its more of a 'dabble' shall we say.... Anyhoo,I have been told I need to lower the back end a little to aid grip so I made up some simple links to replace the Lust dog-bones with a couple more holes in them.It did lower the bike and it was definitely noticeable on the road in that it requires more effort to turn it and it tramlines a little more than before but it's nothing I didn't expect after reading about suspension mods on here. Now I have lowered the back should I bring the front down a little to compensate?....I am aware this will reduce my ground clearance but it shouldn't be an issue. What say you?
  3. K1 in mine but if I had any advice it would be stiffer springs as I find mine a little on the soft side....Oh and better brake pads lol.
  4. Try AEM's UEGO wideband meter...I had one of these on a car and found them very good if a little pricey.
  5. I am by far no Mikuni guru but this is what I'm running on a 1230 Efe,flowed head.....132 mains..17.5 pilots..9 air jets..3rd clip needle..floats standard with foam pod filters....I had all sorts of flooding issues but the air jets worked a treat.... I'm booked in for a dyno which should see if I have it somewhere near.
  6. I'm planning on going to spectate. It will be the first time I've not ridden since 2013 but Donny took priority this year plus I would have to get a under sump manifold if I'm to go around Cadwell corners like I would want to....At least I will get the opportunity to get some decent pics this time.
  7. That's what I was wondering, the Pod page mentions two wheels but not having been before I wasn't sure....I am deffo going Saturday on the RWYB as I am having a friendly grudge match against my workmates vintage Trumpet 750.....didn't know whether to stay the night and see what occurs lol....If my mate ends up bringing his other meth bike I may be going home early
  8. Loving your style..........my first road bike was a 50cc 'ped....I know how to roll
  9. I found the guys at allensperformance.co.uk very helpful when sorting mine
  10. Anyone been to this before?........I was going to go on the Saturday for RWYB with my mate but noticed this event being held on the Sunday too...just curious if it was any good and worth taking the tent
  11. That looks remarkably like my local beach when the tide comes in lol.....oh and I hope to see it at Dirtquake too!
  12. Just re-read original post...d'oh.sorry ....
  13. Could you not 'overbrace' a conventional arm in a similar way??....It looks pretty simple
  14. No fuel from carb??hmmm....floats all set correctly?..float needles not sticking?..and when were the valve clearances last checked out of curiosity?
  15. You Dutch build some cool looking bikes....me likey....
  16. I welded small threaded bosses on under the top tube just above the rocker cover. This pic shows before the rebuild.
  17. I like the way you this bike evolves from one type of racing to another...multi purpose hooligan machine....maybe see you Sunday too.
  18. The problem being is my leathers were tight last weekend,I can' afford having to buy a bigger set lol......mind you my Dad was Dutch so maybe its a sign lol
  19. I knew I shouldn't have googled 'Stroop thingamy jigs'....I keep getting emails advertising the best deals for them now!!!!
  20. F''k me you don't hang about!!....on and off the track!
  21. Probably something to do with me pootling around too...lol
  22. Here's a video of my last session, not my best, but it was the sunniest...please excuse the lack of corner speed especially on the right (that's most of them) as I had already clipped my pipe a couple of times which I was being wary of as it unsettled the bike (and my backside)....I think I can say the running in period is over now!!! You may see one or two you recognise, more than likely the ones overtaking me and you may also recognise the rather fetching pit girls at the beginning Oh and for those who blinked the Norton made an appearance around the 5/half minute mark. I will get the lads camera out and see what he managed to get on there too. https://youtu.be/ift5rHtjwlQ
  23. Gutted missed the laps MeanBean did on track...how come the Spondon didn't do any more?...although I did see you both on the parade How do I get videos on here?...I've converted from MOV to mpeg but it wont allow me to load and jpeg just gives me a picture and no video.
  24. Sorry Minx.I did lurk around the marquee for a little while but then got collared by Chris @Grumpy.Who decided to put the two stands side by side ??. Some lovely bikes on show and it always looked busy in there. As for the EFE its definitely ran in now lol....
