  1. Are the cam to cam links actually beneficial in any way Gixer1460?..just curious
  2. Yep,Chuck Norris says so.....he too owns an EFE
  3. It looks like a good selection on show...I guess there is no reason why others couldn't 'join forces' as it were, outside in the parking/camping area that way spectators get to see even more of what OSS has to offer. We even may convert some people too lol. Can I just add a big thanks to all those who have organised this...It occurs to me that all i have had to do is sit here and type a few words and send some electronic money, not hard but a damn site more involved for you guys, cheers
  4. Looking sweet.....the only colour that turbo needs to be is red..glowing cherry red!!!.....warrrrp tshhhh warrrrp tshhhh
  5. They may/have let younger bikes in in the past BUT it has to be 'in the spirit' of the event..I'm not sure if a TL fits the criteria though.Im guessing if it had an earlier production run or has closely evolved from a previous model it may be ok.

Check out the vault section....Loads of good info in there. You will probably find much more accurate Suzuki advice on here than anywhere else.

What are your plans for the EFE mate?
  8. Have you ever tried Silvo?...it's a bit like Brasso (ask your Grandparents) but comes in a handy tin in the form of a wadding...very good for aloominum, just rub it on and wipe it off just like other stuff.
  9. Let me be the first to say 'HORAAH'........i bet you are happy now? ps...your head gasket must be knackered...it was letting fluid in to the cylinders lol
  10. No limit I believe....that is until someone moves to a house nearby and then complains to the council lol....
  11. I have been reading this and it surprises me that the head can be so hard to remove...I can understand the barrels being a bugger as the crud can swell at the bottom of the studs but does it build up at the top?? I honestly thought that the head would pop from the gasket when gentle force is applied!!...Stupid question (or not) but are you 100% sure all fasteners are out??
  12. You and I have something in common...no not the turbo, not the exotic shock but the quality street tin of fasteners....every good shed/workshop should have one
  13. Did i see this on Grumpy's FB page recently??...I like it a lot.....any plans for it?
  14. Very cool build mate.....I have just noticed the headlight in an earlier post....I am after one for mine,I don't suppose you have any more details on it do you
  15. Bugger, sorry Minx,I have just checked my PayPal and I owe you a pound I believe..my mistake...I will send it over if you like or I will get you a pie to go with that beer
  16. I changed my EFE reg/rec last October for another EFE part...that too was knackered so I bought a quality after market part and its been fine since...just to note I do not use the original clock/dash unit but I have kept the original loom and multi plug on the bike just in case I decide to in the future.
  17. It looks like it still tucks up snug under the engine mind you....I'm planning to use a small can I already have in the shed with a tilt upwards to clear the tarmac lol.
  18. Cheers guys....yeh I'm pretty proficient with a welder (its my day job lol) but any advice is always appreciated.I have a few pre-formed elbows in he shed but I am using metric pipe as opposed to dairy as its closer to the true/original size.Metric tends to cost a little more mind you.I also plan to use segmented sections to deal with any unusual shapes, plus I think they look cool, just a lot of work though. I've fitted the flanges and stubs to the head ready to start fabricating. The only real problem i have is fitting it in between the frame and wheel. Most drag bikes tend to be raked further away leaving more room to play.
  19. If i were to use standard bore tubing as Suzuki intended but still mimic the curvy design would this still have this effect?..(.I could simply route the manifold like every other but i fancy doing something different.) Doing some rough measurements shows my collector being not much closer to the exhaust ports than a regular 'under sump' manifold.
  20. All advice, thoughts etc welcome.... I am in the process of rebuilding my EFE's engine (1230cc) and I want to fabricate a new downpipe as the one I made last year was pointed out to me to be of incorrect bore size. When I had the chance to measure another downpipe it showed I was slightly smaller on the i/d... Anyway, fast forward to the present and I am thinking of doing something slightly different...along the lines of a V&H/Muzzy sidewinder,I will put an image up at the bottom of this post Ok,my questions are, will it effect performance a little/a lot/not at all in your opinions,in other words, will it be detrimental?..I am thinking of routing the pipe from the headers along the frame rail tucked under the right side under the pick-up cover rather than lower like the V&H system,I still want to be able to go around corners without scraping anything. I think they look really good, especially on an old Suzuki.... Cheers peeps.
  21. That first pic makes the bike look tiny....either that or you are a big chap And you even got a free Grumpy t-shirt...i have just spent looooads with them but just before the shirts were ready..arse !! I love the dimples in the aloominum, very trick.
  22. 75% more!!!!!.....that could be the difference between tight..and snap lol....although it wouldn't be a laughing matter if it did that !!
