Captain Chaos Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 What was the deal again with the B12 CDI needing a resistor in the ignition switch? Going to make a new loom for my bike, with Mk2 B12 CDI unit and Slingy 750 ignition switch. Now what resistor do I install where? Quote
Ben Slabby Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Here's my ropey sketch of the pinouts. The bottom left pin (on the block of 8) is connected to earth via a 100ohm resistor. 2 Quote

Captain Chaos Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 I volunteered to write the article, will do it, but have some other stuff to take care of right now. Stay tuned. Quote
jonny1bump Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Don't worry I intend to help, drawing was first part and feel this closes that section explains it's more then enough. With side stand switch you need to be careful if you teach people how to frig it out someone has accident how do you stand in today's world. Lot strange peeps out there. Hence why now added fuse in relay mod. 1 Quote

jonny1bump Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 Can you elaborate on this more what models and label wires etc, we can screen shot actually wiring diagram next to it to make easier to understand after. Quote
Sam-Jaffa Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 These are the 6 wires going to the ignition and their colours, the way they are is how they are when the ignition is turned on this covers the colours are accurate for a mk1 600 and 1200 bandit, they vary on the MK2 the grey is and orange/yellow but the connectiona are the same Quote

Are you removing relay too? Quote
Sam-Jaffa Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 This isn't relating to the side stand switch, this is purely showing where the resistor fits in the ignition wiring matey Quote

Frankly if peeps can't work out how, even with limited electrical knowledge, then they shouldn't be asking!. It is there for a reason - may be for the peeps who have to ask how to delete it? Sorry if that offends anyone ...............................deal with it LOL! 2 Quote
