What was the deal again with the B12 CDI needing a resistor in the ignition switch?

Going to make a new loom for my bike, with Mk2 B12 CDI unit and Slingy 750 ignition switch. Now what resistor do I install where?

Don't worry I intend to help, drawing was first part and feel this closes that section explains it's more then enough.

With side stand switch you need to be careful if you teach people how to frig it out someone has accident how do you stand in today's world. Lot strange peeps out there. Hence why now added fuse in relay mod.

unfortunately there is currently no cure for stupidity...….just add a disclaimer / be forewarned if you will...... to the write up and ye are saved from any potential repercussions .

These are the 6 wires going to the ignition and their colours, the way they are is how they are when the ignition is turned on this covers the colours are accurate for a mk1 600 and 1200 bandit, they vary on the MK2 the grey is and orange/yellow but the connectiona are the same

Trying to collate everything together for the captain to publish, so to make clear this is for side stand switch removal and you are showing the diode in your pictures and this is disconnected after joining. Are you removing relay too?

How this sound.

Disclaimer / be forewarned if you follow this modification it is completely at your own risk and no one on this site will be held accountable for any mistakes, actions or accidents which could occur from any wrongly implemented modifications and from riding in an unsafe or dangerous manor or leaving side stand down whilst riding.

This isn't relating to the side stand switch, this is purely showing where the resistor fits in the ignition wiring matey

Need to look at wiring diagram later to understand your drawing we need to make it very clear for peeps to follow. Something really learnt recently from posting info.

Rationalised and legalised it for you.

BTW - how did we get into 'side stand' switch deletion?

Frankly if peeps can't work out how, even with limited electrical knowledge, then they shouldn't be asking!. It is there for a reason - may be for the peeps who have to ask how to delete it? Sorry if that offends anyone ...............................deal with it LOL!
