interesting Katana

came across this for sale as part of a big bike collection  - interesting build - its a 400 with a well tuned 1260cc motor to push it along - got to be a lot of fun being small with big lungs and some decent running gear - asking is $15K ouch  - probably some flex in this, would be a fair guess that its probably near new build condition  - anyway - its a nice twist on the Katana theme

There was a guy in the Katana Owners Club 10 years back who came to the EuroKat meeting at Lymn on an orange 400 with B12 engine in it. I can't remember his name but he also produced an LC 700 made out of 2 350 engines.

that kawasachi tail unit brings nothing but uncomfortable glances to the kat party.....it can sit on the stairs along with the paint.

It's a shame that, the rest looks quite neat. I guess it's partly because it has an upside down  SRAD 750 arm, so the off set in the arm is wrong for any exhaust clearance.

He should have used some penny washers to space the peg out, then a smaller hammer would have sufficed

Not too familiar with Kats, but is that tank clearanced to make room for the head?

Regarding the pipe, perhaps he should have tried to squeeze it oval in a vice before pulling out the B.F.H. 

Cool bike though.

the pipe is a bit better looking from other pics -  note the lack of footbrake ? - its via the thumb

worth  having a peek at some of the bikes he is selling - he recently sold an ex motgp CRT1000 suzuki  - priced at $35K - look for superbikeuniverse

Ahh. that's the Pete Boccarossa  Collection.    An Unbelievable collection

I think he had a big off on track a couple of years back, smashed himself up badly, and looks like he's selling up.

seems he's not been put off too badly, the big sell up is to fund his new hobby - car racing - must be some car!
