clivegto Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Some of you might remember my turbo b12 that has now been sat in the naughty corner for a few years. It has some nice turbo headers on made by Dave Dunlop. They are better design & fit the harris frame way better than the other set. 3rd pic is the set I am going to use (Daves). While I was at the Newark bike show with some of the other OSS boys I ordered a set of hel calipers, they turned up in the post today. 2 Quote

clivegto Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 (edited) Picked the arm up from the welders today. All looks good, it's going to be 50mm longer than a standard mag 2 arm with the 6 inch k9 wheel with the option to move it back another 130mm. Edited January 11, 2019 by clivegto 2 Quote
clivegto Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 Had to widen the inside of the arm to sink the arm bearing further in. Did it with round & round drill sanding wheels, made a guide up on the lathe to keep checking my progress. Then cut 10mm of the chain side of the arm to get it to fit the frame. Did scribe a mark round the arm to follow with the hack saw was only 0.3mm out so not to bad. Took 6mm off the sprocket side wheel spacor on the lathe, back sprocket is reversed which gives me 2mm & have the off set front sprocket. Wheel is central & chain alignment looks spot on. 1 Quote
clivegto Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Fitted some bearings to the Harris adjustable super bike yokes to test fit them with a set of gsxr 1000k5 forks & k9 wheel. Looks like it will work alright to me. 7 Quote
Dezza Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Why can't all yokes have those stems and adjusters? It would just save so much hassle 1 Quote

clivegto Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Like the look of Keith Harris magnum 1 JMC swinging arm so going to make my one simlar. 1 Quote
clivegto Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Fitted some more new swinging arm bearings & cut the big brace off the smaller top brace. Quote
clivegto Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 The nitron shock length is adjustable so no need for a adjuster on the arm as I was going to do. 4 Quote
Dezza Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I didn't realise Keith Harris had one of these bikes. No wonder the pillion pegs are so high. I'll get me coat........ 2 Quote
clivegto Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Wasn't just quite happy with the look of the brace so moved it backwards & down a bit. Had a 1100 slabby swinging arm that was cracked where one of the bearings fits so chopped it up to make a cross brace for the shock brace to sit on. 5 Quote
clivegto Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Started to look at oil cooler position & it don't look like I have room for a 18 row cooler. Am planing on fitting a head cooler as well some where maybe like @fatblokeonbanditdid on his Magnum 2. What size cooler did you use at the front ship mate am thinking I can only fit a 16 row cooler on this. Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 (edited) 19 row matey, steering lock was pants Edited January 23, 2019 by fatblokeonbandit 2 Quote
clivegto Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Had to cut down Sam's lovely faring bracket as it would not fit the harris yokes. 2 Quote
clivegto Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Got Will to weld the braces onto the swinging arm. 1 Quote
clivegto Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Made some shock mounts up out of some 12mm ally plate. When welded up with the adjustable shock mount it will give me adjustment between 10 & 15 degrees for the swinging arm. 2 Quote
