boilerdude
This is dumb I know but seriously how does the airbox come out of a slabby 1100. It's like the whole bike is built around the fuckin thing. Quote Link to comment
Ben Slabby
With great difficulty, apparently. Some say taking out the alternator helps. Quote Link to comment
Leblowski
I tried a few months ago, decided to hacksaw the bloody thing. They say it can only be done if you take out the whole engine Quote Link to comment
mick-ne
That's why theyre getting harder to find everyone has to smash them out lol 1 Quote Link to comment
Swiss Toni
Tried to get mine out (750). Removed everything in the way. Still no good! Motor was coming out anyway, so not a major hurdle. However, I've heard if you give the box a good hard twist whilst removing or fitting, and it'll come out/go in! Quote Link to comment
Captain Chaos
leave it outside in the sun for a few hours, the plastic becomes softer. That is you need sunshine for that. So it's not working in the UK probably. 4 Quote Link to comment
jb
did one the other day and can confirm it has to be twisted around to come out (no need to remove alty).....still bloody tight though, must have needed more sunshine Quote Link to comment
boilerdude
Fuck it. I'm just gonna stuff the carbs back in there and keep the airbox. 1 Quote Link to comment
p4ddy
yep, lube, heat and twist HARD. When I built my slabby I had to fit it that way as I only found out after I should have fit it before the engine. Anyhow it went in easy enough. Quote Link to comment
