    Overheating

Mine did the same in heavy traffic. They don't like getting hot, here in Oz that's hard to avoid. I would also look at your jetting. My worn out emulsion tubes and needles were causing a rich condition. A rich condition can also contribute to overheating issues.
  2. Hi all anyone know the length of the sump bolts? And length of header bolts?. On 85 Gsxr cheers Ant
  3. Check your needle heights
  4. Hi Wanna replace the sump Gasket on the 750 do I need to drop the pipes?. cheers Ant

    Tank lock

Won't be the lock barrel, be the locking mechanism below where the 2 fingers move in and out to engage the tank neck. Id spray WD down the lock barrel hoping for it to seep into the mechanism below. once off spray the moving parts on the underside of the cap.
  6. Would those spacers work in 36mm CV's. If so who sells them. cheers Ant
  7. Keep the air box mate if you want to tweak it maybe change the filter to a K&N. Pods,Socks,K&N single/dual make it difficult to tune. If you must then make sure you use a jet kit. Ant
  8. I wouldn't worry to much about the exhaust, as you've said the plugs look okay that's what I'd be looking at. More than likely oil residue from the rebuild.
  9. The 5d 76 would be longer.
  10. Hi from Oz Nice ride mate ava tinnie for me welcome.
  11. What carbs are you running? If same then it should be pretty close if using factory pro 125- 127 mains Mikuni Dynojet have their own jets, do a search Dynojet to Mikuni jet comparison if your going Dynojet. someone else here might have your exact setup.
  12. Hi and welcome from Oz Tidy looking bike mate, shame about the bearing best of luck with the repair. Ant
  13. Not a teapot but 85 750 with 36mm CV's dual K&N and open exhaust. factory pro kit 3.0 config comes with needles, jets, mains. factory pro use's Mikuni jets ,came with 122.5 and 125.
  14. What rearsets are those? only rearsets I've ever been able to find for the 85 were made by Alien Racing.

That looks nice. Dont ditch the airbox, Im running the same carbs as yours 36mm on my 85 blue and white and it's been a nightmare to get it to run right it's now running a factory pro jet kit. You should also replace the emulsion tubes as they get ovalised from the needles. I've got a set of brake lines for sale if your interested? Clear braided made in Uk. Ant

Use Mick Hone for Oem parts they are in Melbourne. Carb O -rings are all available through most bearing shops.

Hi Mate Those needles are right, I have 4 new I could of sold you for half the price of what you paid. Are you in Oz? Going by the pictures looks like Cairns? Ant
  19. Hi I would be looking at using different needles with all those mods. Get yourself a factory pro config 3.0 kit . Give Marc at Factory Pro an email if the kit is NLA he can still make one up for you. Did do for me on the 750.
  20. How does that affect Clutch noise? cheers
  21. Hi all My Clutch is starting to sound quite noisey when not engaged. So looking at doing a rebuild I've done loads of Clutch's on 2 strokes very simple but never a four stroke. Any pointers what I should be looking for that might be creating the noise. cheers Ant
  22. I always look at the plugs and make adjustments according to them. The needles in Cv carbs wear prematurely around 5000 Klms as they flutter within the emulsion tubes so the sides get worn the emulsion tubes get ovalised as well. All this creates a rich mixture. If these have never been replaced then I would do it and while the carbs are out replace all the O - rings obtainable from most decent bearing shops. Or if your happy with the plug colour then leave it as others have said.
