fatblokeonbandit
Well I finally got it all back together and fired up today, and fek my old boots, its still smoking!!! Not much at all now, but still more than it should. Bastard thing, this will teach me never to ignore my own advice and not do things on the cheap.... Bugger,,, I might just throw the whole thing in the canal and buy a jetski So what to do now, refit the standard b12 engine, spend a pile of cash on new 81mm pistons and rings or stick the flowed head on the b12 engine and see what that dose. fekin' motorbikes!!! I'm grumpy now and going to the pub............................................ Quote Link to comment
Captain Chaos
So what to do now, just push it in the canal. Tell me where though. Quote Link to comment
fatblokeonbandit
So after a days ignoring it and hoping it will fix itself when I'm not looking, I fired it up again, and yes its still smoking........Arse...... so time to pull the whole fekin thing apart again and refit the bog standard b12 engine. I'm sure the engines in this harris are jinxed. I'm just off to find a wall to bang my head against Edited September 29, 2015 by fatblokeonbandit Quote Link to comment

fatblokeonbandit
4 foot 6, or 1371mm in French, should be deep enough to get rid of the bloody thing Quote Link to comment
Captain Chaos
Go for it then. Quote Link to comment
Swiss Toni
Bad news with the motor, Gary. You'll get it sorted 'tho! The rear hub. I've seen a GS750/100 hub used with an 'off the shelf' 5.5" rim. I'm sure it was on a highly modded Kat on the original site. Maybe someone can remember it? Quote Link to comment
fatblokeonbandit
Serioulsy loosing the plot with this, no time to do it, no time for anything at the moment, might have to sell it??? let someone else sort it and actually use it, 500 miles in 3 years Quote Link to comment
busa ash
Garry just put a cover over it and come back to it when you have the time mate . Quote Link to comment
fatblokeonbandit
Right after ignoring it for a few weeks I bought a load of London pride and spent until 1 am last night getting it back together, luckily I dint get it in upside down or anything daft I'm getting quite adept at fitting the engine on my own now But I must complain about Yoshimura build quality!!! ive only had my coffee mug for 6 years and the handles fell off Quote Link to comment

busa ash
one quick suggestion garry , i bought a gsx1100 few years ago and it was smoking like a chimney , i swapped engines and it did the same , then i swapped exhausts and it stopped , might be worth rinsing your exhaust with petrol only an idea . cant do any harm Quote Link to comment
fatblokeonbandit
That is plan "D" ash, if its still a smoker when I get it going.. Plan "E" still involves the canal 1 Quote Link to comment
