imago Posted August 4 Posted August 4 One for the events persons to consider @davecara@Paulm@Wee Man It occurred to me that a social event with a purpose might be a good thing. So what about an OSS autojumble as a piss up? I'm thinking a field with bogs or portaloos, one in the South one in the North. I can check out a few places round here but given the main show gatherings are already Midlands based it seems a bit fairer to have a Northern and Southern gathering. People bring stuff that fits the OSS for sale section rules. Arrive Sat AM, sell shit, buy shit, get pissed, be hung over, maybe sell some more shit Sunday, pack up, go home, sleep. They could even be extended to (invite only) include the ACS, Butchered Classic, UK Specials groups but keeping the OSS theme for the stuff to be sold. It'd hopefully resurrect the gatherings of old in Scottishland, Rocester and the like. 1 Quote

Basically it's a piss up with a purpose grafted on. At the moment there are the shows, which are events in their own right. Chicken Central is a great do and no mistake, entirely down to Clive's generosity and hospitality. So if you took that as the North do and chuck a Southern do into the mix in the Spring for example then it might get a few more people meeting up. Anyway, it was just a thought following on from chatting to a couple of people about the OSS drinking meets of yesteryear, how we're all getting older and OSS not seeing much in the way of new/younger faces. 1 Quote

I suggest you take on sorting it out then Larry Quote

clivegto Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Neve mind selling stuff I recon there will probably only 10 people that actually turn up for party time at Chicken Central. Not that I sell that much stuff anyway . 2 Quote

I know I can't make it, and Dave's got something on, ten doesn't sound bad though. Quote

Think there were about 10 of us last year. I cant make it this time as the family holiday starts this Tuesday and leads us to Italy. Next year still looks feasable. 3 Quote
