4.5 rear sprocket carrier

To add; 4.5 has a 5-bolt patern, the 5.5 has 6.

I have had both and used the carrier off a 5.5" & 4.5" both had 5  nuts it's the depft of them.

Odd; I've got bikes with both wheels in the shed and mine really are different.

5.5 inch hub on 1100 M/N and later straight spoke wheels have 6 bolts design. So's the hub on the 1100K - so all Slingshot hubs are the same, I think the Slabbies have the 5 bolt design.

Ah, mines are 750K, that's probably the difference

There are two sorts of carriers one with a diameter 160mm the other 180mm.

The small one was used for the 750 and slabby (3 spoke 1100) the other

for the 1100, and later 5,5 rims

Don't know if this helps, but my 87 Slabby wheel has 5 bolts & the 5.5 I have on the back has 6.

It's suppose to be from an 750 L, can't confirm for sure, but the geezer who sold it to me advertised it as 750 L.

That's my tuppence hapnies worth.

both my 750 ones (L and M) have 6 bolts. The 750J I had (with 4,5" wheel) was with 5 bolts.
