If it's a 2002 (mk2) you'll probably have to swap to mk1 inlets too as the later ones (bsr carbs) have a different spacing to earlier gsxr/mk1 bandits (bst carbs)

Would the intake rubbers from the 86 gsxr1100 be the correct ones ? Or should I round up some newer from a mk1 ? Thx for feedback….

If I remember correctly the early slabside gsxr 1052 had 34mm carbs ( tin tops) so aren't suitable but the 89/90 slingshot 1127 had 36mm carbs (plastic tops) like the bandit 1200. I think the 750 shortstroke motor in the pre98 teapot/gsxf and 88/89 gsxr 750 slingshot also used 36mm bst carbs. The RS carbs in 36mm & 38mm both use a 42mm spigot which should fit the 36mm suzuki intakes ( not mk2bsr types )

Well got everything sorted out on the RS38s . Got new set of MK1 intake rubbers. Lord what a difference! They are some noisy sonaguns with low idle . Not bad at all around 1250 or so . But Wow…

But it says you need BST38 or 40 (both 46mm spigot) rubbers to fit RS36-38.

@DAZ's info is correct, you should use rubbers for 42mm spigots (BST36)

Yeah, that sticky needs to be updated for intake rubbers. The intakes that fit the RS carbs are the hardest ones to find now, J/K 750 intakes or teapot intakes. I've got multiple sets that are all rock hard that I need to see about sorting.
