Yoshi inlet rubber heads up.

Recommended Posts

Found some inlet rubbers whilst parts searching recently that are reasonably priced and are designed to suit the RK 40mm CVs.

These are the rubbers Yoshimura recommend for the large bodied TMR carbs.

I have a set on the way, got them for AUD$150 at auction plus freight from Japan.

I'll put pics and measurements up when they arrive.

Yoshi part number 1310S-07D02

Google "1310S-07D02" and you may find them locally if you have a yoshi importer.

Webike Japan have them.

https://japan.webike.net/products/24734934.html

Many of the OEM inlet rubbers have become discontinued as you're probably aware.

Hope this helps someone out.

I'll let you know early next week. They should be here in a few days and I'll try them with my 38s.

Sweet, thanks. I was checking my intakes yesterday and they're all a lot harder than I remember them being the last time I had to force RS carbs into them.

Anyone know the OEM carbs used for the 750RK? They must have a pretty large spigot size in excess of 42mm. RS40 have 44mm spigots as do BST40 as used on GSXR1100 m,n.

I use the rubbers for the 750l (OEM is BST 38) with RS38s and they fit nicely. I use the (smaller) OEM clamps from a B12 though and have to be careful not to overtighten. They're wider than hose clips, which can easily be overtightened and thus cause the rubbers to crack. When using the correct OEM clip/rubber combo it's impossible to overtighten.

RS38s fall out of them, not even close unfortunately.

Would make sense since RS36 and RS38 share the same body ODs and same body ODs as BST36 : 42mm spigot

BST40 iirc

Eitherway, BST38 and 40 share the same body ODs. Both with a 46mm spigot :

BST40S. The short stroke 750s had BST36s, they went to BST38s in 90. I've got a US 750N with the BST38s and RS carbs fall right out of the intakes. The intakes for the dot heads and first gen 750Fs were the best ones for fitting RS carbs.

These are perfect for my BST38s, they fit like a finger into a bum.

If you have a chance, could you measure the length of these intakes? They're different part numbers from the standard GSXR intakes, and I'm curious if they're shorter than my stock ones. Thanks

36mm, same as the other slingshot ones I have here such as the 17D (88-89) 750.

The ones on my US 750N appear to be 39mm, doesn’t really surprise me that the dot era heads had shorter intakes.

Edited (sorry)

I'm measure all these rubbers again when I've not just had eye surgery. Sorry for the confusion.

Side by side new 07D and 17D rubbers look the exact same length.

They can be tricky to measure, spin them around 180 and the length changes by a good few mm.

The BST40 on the RK had quick release top caps, just a useless piece of information from an obsessive, anorak wearing, rivet counting RK lover.
