  1. I've learnt so much reading this thread and it took exactly one beer.
  2. Wasn't a hypoid cam chain, looked 1127 to me.
  3. Previously leaked spy photos suggest this one may be missing its idler.
  4. The dot heads have a cam chain idler gear so I'd be chasing that up before you slot that engine in.
  5. I don't know if this helps but this is how mine is set up and the seat fits well. Fucking phone. Sorry about the rotation. I'm not sure if Walker made this or the other guy did.
  6. I know the last owner of my bike went to steelheart (sp?) engineering when he picked the bike up after 12 months of it not being finished. Was meant to be 2 weeks.
  7. I believe a post on the internet made me believe that but I am not entirely sure, I offered these to the engine rebuilder and he refused. I am lucky to have a boss who is a hoarder like am. Not many would think there were trick parts in Oz.
  8. Is this the set? Sorry, it was not Eblag where I found them. https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/suzuki-gsxr-750-rk-rr-cosworth-kolben-kit-yoshimura/2477727553-306-1114
  9. I think a purist and/or suzuki historian would shoot me in my sleep if I put cosworth pistons in a Suzuki works motor but thank you for your offer. There was a nice set of brand new cosworth 750 pistons on Eblag in the UK last week but they had no rings. These are similar to the pistons in it but not identical. I have a racekit head here too, brand new in the box. And a racekit crank. This was something that was an interesting find on the cams in the used motor.
  10. You're too kind. Thank you. I'll pass on the offer.
  11. The buyers agent is in Japan and that's what he does, builds and refurbishes oil cooled engines only. We could have done it until I sold all the 70.3mm works pistons we would have needed for the job.
  12. I had the pleasure recently of going over this engine for a prospective purchaser. Deal didn't go through as there was an intermediary and the end user pulled the pin as he didn't want it sent to Japan to reco and then on to the USA as the freight bills would have added up. It's a works factory motor from what appears to be late 85. It's in average condition but the whole motor is there. Thought you lot might be interested in some pics.
  13. Welcome, nice bike mate. Look forward to seeing your build.
  14. Edited (sorry) I'm measure all these rubbers again when I've not just had eye surgery. Sorry for the confusion. Side by side new 07D and 17D rubbers look the exact same length. They can be tricky to measure, spin them around 180 and the length changes by a good few mm.
  15. 36mm, same as the other slingshot ones I have here such as the 17D (88-89) 750.
  16. The BST40 on the RK had quick release top caps, just a useless piece of information from an obsessive, anorak wearing, rivet counting RK lover.
