Marc1100E Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I'm Marc from the Netherlands and I joined this site recently. I think it's good to give you an introduction about myself because I am sure I will need your support in the near future. I am the proud owner of a 1100E for 30 years now. Made in te past some improvements: Koni's, WP springs and front fork stabiliser for a better handling, but 200kph was still skary. Due to various reasons the bike wasn't on the road for the last 10 years. Entering a new decade was the trigger to change this. Classic look with some modern improvements for this iconic bike. Has been done many times before but for me it's making a dream comes through. I made an extensive and detailed investigation in advance. Time table is as follows: I just made a 800km trip to Germany to pick up most of a 1996 B1200 for € 350,- . This has the components to improve the handling of my 1100E considerably. It should be on the road by the summer. Later this year some cosmetic improvements will be done. In 2021 I plan to modify the engine to realise substantial extra torque (clutch with extra plate and heavy duty springs and improved oil pump already in place). My experience in re-building a motorbike is limited, so I will take a well documented step by step approach. The journey is as important as the end result. I will keep you posted. 4 Quote

Best regards from a deep and dark dungeon in the northern part of Denmark If you are interested in a cheap Bandit 1200 have a regular look at the German website as mentioned in previous post. Please note that sellers often don't remove sold bikes from the site. My B12 is still shown there for € 650,- before I bought it for € 350,- . Some parts where already sold. I was in need for front-fork, swingarm, wheels, and complete braking system, and the € 350,- was a no-brainer compared to the prices of the individual components in the second hand market. If you are in need for cheap GS or GSX-R stuff have a look as well. Quote
