69chris Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 i spose this could have gone anywhere but...... im using this type of hose..... and i have been using this style of fitting for it.... however, im in need on one odd 90 and found one of these in my box of useful stuff.... will that ^^^^ fitting work with that hose or are they only for the braided stuff ?? cheers Quote
wraith Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 As long as it's the same size (ie AN8 fitting and AN8 hose, not saying your daft ) it looks like it should. Both work the same way. Quote
Lachie04 Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 uhm I would have said the cutter style fitting grips the steel braid via a thread in the nut I don't think it would grip nylon to the same extent Quote
SiBag Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 There are two different types of fitting. One is for the PTFE type hose and one for the Rubber hose. They are not interchangeable. The fittings above look like they are both for use with the rubber hoses. Quote
B12Mick Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 The fittings for PTFE hose will have an olive to go between the PTFE liner and the braid 1 Quote
dupersunc Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 You're only like to see the ptfe olive type in an-4 or -3. Quote
