sounds alright now, i know your feeligs: "sounds too good to be true"...but you will find out either way.
When the engine is right, you are able to find out the rattle then in the other one
sorry for that, i don´t hvae a workshop manual, so can´t give you info on that.
but do you have comparison to a sound engine ?
maybe it´s just what you expect to hear ?
engine vent to small ? Is there any vent at all - i don´t see one in the pic. maybe too much back-pressure inside engine cases causes problems with oil flow.
following this i´m curious if the manual cam chain tenisoner solves your rattle. I have a bike in me shed, that´s rattling like hell as well, afaik these engines are known to have valvetrain problems.
got the frame by now, and it has no numbers on headstock. joints are all brazed - very nice work. Still think it is a replica - but a good one ! Will have to check which engine i slot in, i have a 350 S2 kicking around, or maybe an FJ1200 ?
will have to wait till i get the frame to check for a number, but the (still)-owner sanded down headstock and could not find anything, that´s why he believes it is a replica. will keep you updated
In Austria we had a few people/companies making replica frames like Bene, Bredl (Predl ?), Hauer etc. It might be one of these replicas, but i don´t know for sure. So you guys think, it is inspired by a Magnum 2 ?
