have a aquired a GSX 1200 Inazuma, there´s not much info around for these engines. AFAIK the engine is the same a s the first Bandit 12 mill, but with different carb boots and smaller carbs fitted from factory for more low end response. Has anyone here tried to fit Bandit 12 boots and carbs with good results ?

so ususally when ordering new carbs they are preset for your application

I guess you did not did buy them new ? what where they on before ?

sounds like you need to adjust idle mix screws

just tell me how do you position these inserts in the frame, so that you are still 100% in line with bike axxis ?

can´t really help you, but i guess i´d try needle position first, then MJ. Fuel level would also affect lower rpm Funny shoe btw ;-)

i can only talk from second hand experience, my uncle runs a Motec on his turbo dragbike, and he just changed from fuel cut to running ignition after TDC, this keeping turbo spinning/reducing lag

Well - i would suggest getting it running, and the check valve clearances again, as it´s likely rust on the valve seats that prevent the valves from sealing correct. Have seen that many times - so always get the engine running first to clear of rusty valve seats (which will show close valve clearances), and THEN adjust tappets, not vice versa

i like it - it has a turbo

a mate of my uncle has a DIY race car running the 1/4 mile, he need´s to heat up the engine oil before a sprint, then runs the 1/4, and afterwards the engine is cold, that´s how much energy the methanol draws. It´s a NA engine

Pretty obvious it was for a dragbike, so you can move the front wheel back as much as possible, and then get the rear out as far as you can, while still maintaining the given wheelbase

fuel level maybe too high ? or a sticking float, or leaking float seat O-rings
