That would be great, dont think it is beyond me being a electrican/electrical engineer and it's going in a Z1-R so going to be altered, if the plugs are good that's great
Pm me you address mate, stripping the bike this week

It was half a cheeky who's got a loom for sale that will fit to
Ive got one you can have off a 750 gsxr, think is been messed with, your welcome to it.
Its really easy to make a basic loom to get a motor running if you have the plugs

If you're buying a loom and CDI it is! You'll have slightly differnt ignition curve but the right rev limit and the resistor is easy to work around!
Yeah it'l work just be aware of the rev limit
But his post was asking just about a loom using a cdi he has lol.

You can just leave them out, just makes it a little bit more fiddly fitting/removing the clutch

I just use a fresh stanley knife blade, hold the pipe against a flat surface pop knife through hold still and rotate the pipe, cuts dead easy and makes a quick tidy job

I will be there, spondon, gsxr 250 and possibly new katana

Im going to be there, happy to park at OSS stand, it might be worth speaking to Rob and Darin, see if they can get us close to the suzuki tent. Or maybe Tum Davies, they liked having us in the tent at Stafford.
Ive got my marquee if needed again

@fatblokeonbanditwhat do I win?

I had this before, same thing, cheap motor, had no strainer in the pickup, also had a bolt in the sump, sucked into the pump, wedged in the impellor and shattered the oil pump housing, luckily oil light came straight on, all the bits were in the sump, got away with just fitting a new pump.

Good info there.Didnt realise float height would change so soon under boost. Found my set up to be way off original setting when I went in to check heights.
Might just be my setup, but thats how quick it goes out, can normally feel it starting to go off a bit and be a bit less crisp

Do you have 36mm carbs?
With 34 should be much better, floats are much stronger and more stable
Yeah ive got 36mm bandit carbs,
Floats are no better in the 34's, the tang for the valve bends just as easily as the 36's and pretty much any other set of carbs.
Omly ever really a problem if I go over 10psi. Trouble is it spends quite a bit of time over that
-
I try and keep mine at 15mm, it doesnt like them any highter, floods a lot. I take carbs off and reset them every 500 miles or so, they do tend to get higher with use, and when the boost has been turned up.

^ Good advice.
If I was going for a heart transplant I would not be looking on EBlag.
So how would you source a brand new heart?

Im playing out too. 250 gsxr will be hilarious in the over 750 group

Im pretty sure the oil pumps are the same in all the oil cooled motors. Everyone ive ever taken apart has been the same

@Japexuplike @dupersuncsaid an ignitech is a way better option than the dyna stuff, a TCIP4 Full version is ideal.
I get quite a big discount on them if you ever need one. Have got loads for OSS members in the past, happy to pass my discount on ;-)

Iirc compression with busa pistons is about 7.8:1
I ran mine N/a for a bit like that and is made 128bhp with a full race exhaust system and jetted/filters to suit. Loads more torque than stock too

10mm difference in sprocket offset to deal with and they are no lighter than slingy ones, pointless swap really
