    Dyno Day

To be fair, a dyno day is always going to be dependant on good weather, and having to pay up front will always put some folk off. the answer will (probably) have to revolve around a dyno day at a specific location with a dyno in situ, the question is, where?... Cross Brothers? Black & White Bikes? Motrac in Ellesmere Port? Big CC?
  2. It's local then! Have you been to the Haas Museum?
  3. I can't make it over tonight unfortunately, but will be there tomorrow!
  4. Going back to the original point... ahem... Dezza, have you bought the clocks already? If not, it's worthwhile pricing breakers demands for secondhand clocks against retail prices of aftermarket clocks - and you may be able to get an aftermarket clock with more functions, better aesthetics and easier mounting for a better price.
  5. I'll be there. Not riding, but enjoying the Autumnal sun and OSS banter. I can't wait.
  6. I'll have a look and see if I got some more pics - there were lots of Slabbies over there being race, with the occasional Slingshot and even a GSX750...
  7. This be him? Presumably not, given the wings...
  8. So what is #2 on the AlphaSports exploded drawing?...
  9. All things considered I should be popping over, even the potential of getting out on track on the SV (yes, it's a pre-2000 event and the SV is a '99...) Edit - SV potential denied
  10. As an aside, there's a reason why Prostock bikes are fitted with an airbox... they're making over and above 300bhp, normally aspirated, with Lectron carbs... (although there's no requirement for good low rpm manners or closed throttle transition, both things which many 'tuners' will tell you come from using an airbox)
  11. I was told by a reputable auto electrician (specialising in bikes) that it'd work perfectly okay but would slowly fry the plug-top coils ... however, I have also heard of people using them with no issue whatsoever, but what type /spec of coil seems to be something of a secret. Or maybe people just don't want to tell me?... I'm going to use some on a project, I bought some from a later model GSX-R750, if I remember correctly.
  12. What Clive said... in fact, you could fit wheel bearings without seals and spray them with WD40 (or similar lube) just before each run like what the 600 Supersport drag racers in Yankland used to do before ceramic bearings became readily available... and kick the front calipers after the burnout.
  13. White with 2 please. And yes, will work with 750 and/or lemon onion. If you can't change the limiter point, just be careful... (edit) and Billy's 1216cc motor in her Bandit has been running with a 600cc ECU (and thus higher rev limiter) since it was built, doing plentiful drag races and (fortunately) no limiter bash.
  14. Probably not a "quick mod". It's certainly been done before, UKLee fitted a Scotts damper (I think, might've been GPR) to his, and if I remember correctly he had a new mounting bracket machined to suit...
  15. No, you haven't... Pleeeeeeaaaaaase, don't mitt blick it. If anything, grey primer with some marker pen 'graphics', but most definitely not the favourite colour of someone I'll not mention here...
  16. I went to the garage to check... I was wrong, it's got a standard cap... I was thinking about the K bike I had a few years ago that was fitted with a cap intended for a Suzuki...

    TT meet

That I'm not there? Wanker. :-)
  18. My other half's Bandit has one from a different model Suzuki... not sure which one, just one with the same number of 'oles... ... it might be a Vortex one?

    TT meet

I'll not be there Rene. The first year in 25 years that I'm missing the TT...
  20. If you're Cadwell-ing then there's allways a spare bed here if you need it mate ;-)
  21. Damn, I'll be at the Bike Shed... but back on Sunday night if you're still around on Monday Rene?
