I've got a Dyna jet kit in a set of gsxr750 38mm carbs that are fitted to a gsx1100f motor etc etc when I ordered the jet kit I spoke to Dyna and they put in jets etc for the set up I've got on my bike, worked first time very happy, all I had to do is replaced the needles and emulsion tubes (Dyna will send new needs free of charge but you have to buy the tubes) but this kit has been fitted for well over 6 years.
Where as on a other bike I've got, same 38mm carbs but in a b12 ISH motor didn't put a Dyna jet kit in just bort the Dyna jets but the bike has a small but there stutter around 3-4 rpm that I can't get rid of, so a jet kit will be got for that.
Some people don't like Dyna stuff some do, I do like there gear, each to there own.

That all depends on who you ask

I've used b12 carb rubbers on the CV head and fitted both the b12 36mm carbs and gsxr 34mm CV carbs on
Did use a set of z1000j carb rubbers on a slide carb head then fitted a set of katana 1000 round slides and they where big
. You need to slot the bolt holes a small amount for the z1j rubbers.
Hope that helps

Yes the gsxr 29mm carbs will work well.
Do you have the slide carb head or the latter CV head on your engine?
As there is a difference in rubbers you can use.

Gs850 frame with chain engine
The g frames are wider at the swingarm spindle area, so gives a lot of choices for swingarm wheel etc

there's always a gremlin hiding somewhere

No you don't need to replace the piston rings when removed the barrels, and with the compression you say it has of 150 across all 4 cylinders that's not bad
Yes them front drain tubes do look a bit bad but when/if you take the head off, you will need to remove them to replace the rubber oil rings on them.
On air cooled motor you always replaced the base gasket if you replace the head gasket or removed the head, not 100% on the oil cooled motors as they use a different type of gasket and the head and base gaskets can be resprayed and reused but until someone with more know says yes or no, I'd replace or respray and refit.

Looking at that head, don't think I'd use it.

I've put the gs850 (2v) top end on the gs750 but I used the 850 head to get the CV carbs but I can't see a problem using the 750 head and carbs, probably give you a bit more combustion. You will need to tweak the carbs for the bigger cc.

As @TonyGee says stem seals, check the plugs and see if it's one cylinder or all, but if you're losing oil when riding and not just at start up could be rings or one cylinder.
Q. Does it smoke all the time?
Do a compression test etc.
It maybe a stuck ring, if the bores are good you could give it a quick hone and replace the rings, or just a de glaze hone and not change the rings.
Or get some 850 barrels and pistons

Pair plates Eblag item number 324261336887

Are the 1052 bottom a shorter stroke than the 1127?
Think @clivegto has a dot head on a 1052 motor ?
-
Yes and yes
The MK2 just has the pairs think, just 4 plates and blank them off. Can be got off eblag or make some.

The gsxf/gsxr short stroke heads are different to the long stroke heads and don't swap.
I've just put the 750 barrels and pistons on a b6 and used the b6 head, had to space the base gasket as the pistons hit the head, so if you're going to bore out the 750 barrels to take the other pistons I'd definitely use the 750 head.
Also you could use the gsxr1100 (1052cc) pistons on the b6 crank
you may need to resleeve the 750 barrels but that would be a big bore b6
And welcome to OSS
Don't forget to do a project right up in the projects section
we like sharing info but that also goes both ways

Welcome to OSS.
So you starting with putting a b12 motor in it, upgrading the running gear, then big bore and a turbo

Had a Dyna 2000 in a oil cooled motor, you could definitely tell the difference.
Some people don't like Dyna gear some do, for what I've seen the ignatech is a lot of lap top work and I'm not very good with the computer stuff.

Carbs.
Check the slide diaphragms are ok
-
As he said
Just make sure you get the ones with the mirror holders on them as they have two different types
-
I've always used standard one's of say b6 SV etc and then got some CNC leavers for them. At least you know you can get new seal kits and leavers when you need them.

Have a look on JT sprockets web site and see what the UK standard is and take it from there
750 heads.

I don't think the long stroke and short stroke 750 heads swap?
