Also spindles are different sizes. 85/86 750f/g and 86 1100g are 15mm spindle ,17mm on the 87 750h and 87/88 1100h/j. My old 750h ran the stock 750h forks and calipers with 1100h discs on a 750j front wheel(bearing swap) Btw if you need a 750f/g fornt wheel and discs ,then i have 2 here for sale

You can make the watercooler 38's fit by changing around the inlet rubbers.IIrc you put 1 and 4 inlet rubber in the middle ,then 2 and 3 rubber where 1 & 4 would have been. The bst38's also fit the bst40 inlet rubbers,as they both have the same o/d,it is just the i/d that is different(same with the bst33 and bst36). Ady is running watercooler bst38'ss cv's on his drag 750es(was my old yellow one) with an 1100m(iirc) motor, but he uised 36mm rubbers(bored out to fit the 38's).He swapped the rubbers around to make them fit. .He is getting good results from them(mid 9's ).

And R6 and Thundercat I fitted an R6 tap(flows the same rate as a pingel, but costs alot less)to my brothers slabby1100 with 750 tank. These taps only fit the slabby 750(apart from usa 750g/h tanks) and Blandit tanks .This was running bst38ss(gsxr750l/m) cv's and was enough for those(he had it setup on a dyno)

Only if you use the 88/89 750j/k frames, they are physically smaller than the later frames. The 750l frame is the same dimensions as the 1100k frame, but the 750l frame weighs a fraction more because of the different swingingarm bolt and castellated adjuster. The 1100k frame also has a removable top shock mount like the 750's(the 1100l/m/n frames don't have one,it is fixed).750m/n and 1100m/n frames are the same. And the 1100 fuel taps don't hit the rocker cover/Y hose fitting because they sit a fraction further back than the 750 ones(I got round this with the 750 tank on my 11k,by turning the tank rubber around on the front mount and a couple of washers on the rear mounts)
-
The 1100k arm is 10mm longer than the 750l/m arms .The 1100l/m/n arms are 10mm longer than the 1100k arm. Yep,but only because 1100 fronts have top mount clip-ons,750 clip-ons sit under the top yoke I have a 750l(along with 750l wheels and 750j/k bodywork) front end on my 1100k,they are dropped through the top yoke by 30mm(this improved the handling) .

Totally different carbs. The mk1 uses slingshot(not the bike)bst36ss and the mk2 uses the pain in the arse to setup, crappy bsr36ss

Me and Sonny will hopefully be there ,just need to fit the powerscreen motor into Sonny's slabby and my 11k motor into the powerscreen(my k is being stripped and the frame powdercoated,so going to sleeper the powerscreen) Btw can we pay on the day,or is it money up front?
-
R6/thundercat/fazer taps are 38mm bolt centre to bolt centre
-
Diaphragm tap or non-diaphragm tap? If it is a non-diaphragm tap, then you need to turn the tap off when you are not using the bike. If it is a diaphragm tap, then rust(i had this happen) could be stopping the diaphragm from shutting off.Strip and clean. Also check your carbs, the float heights could be wrong or there is wear.

My old blue/white one above used the 750 brace/headlight and hanger on the 1100 bodywork.

Gsxr750wr forks/swing arm compatibility
Del replied to Loopeloose's topic in Water Cooled, V-Twins, Singles and 2-strokes
Yours already has a really good braced arm,so i'd stick with that. Busa,k-series,srad,etc will drop straight in,as your frame uses a 25mm swingingarm pivot spindle. It really depends what type of arm you want? Same with the rear,it all depends what you want? Fitting wise, fronts are also easy. Srad,k-series 600/750/1000,tl1000s/r,sv1000,busa,etc will drop straight in by using the stock 32006 bearing on the bottom yoke and a 32906 bearing(from marksman) up top. You'll need to mod the lockstops http://shop.marksman-ind.com/99-3540-5-30x47x12-taper-roller-bearing-32906-15086-p.asp -

The motor locked up solid,so i stripped the top ends, thinking it had siezed up. It turned out to be the starter clutch sprockets and starter motor deciding to part company.Should have checked that first. It really had a rough few years. So now it is having a complete rebuild, rewire(loom was a mess),new indicators, pads(they were nearly down to the metal),new hel brake hoses, switchgear sorting, new risers/bars/grips,chain,new nuts/bolts all around, hugger, tyres and undertray/bellypan(when he gets them) -
I can't remember who this slabby11 belonged to,but he fitted gsxr1000 Ti headers as well
-
And i fitted the gsxr1000 Ti headers with a one off link and harpoon can,to my brothers gsxr1100g. Then i fitted a micron 4-2-1 from a gsxr750l/m with the gsx1400 can. And now i've just fitted V&H 4-1 system from a gsx1100efe. I had to change the sump over to a teapot 600 one and I had to take a couple of mm off the headers because of the different exhaust port size
-
I fitted gsxr1000k1-4 with(1000k5 ccc link pipe and micron can)headers onto my 1100k And later when it was fully faired, with the same headers but harpoon rc30 can and link pipe. I then fitted a gsx1400(they were advertised as srad) 4-2-2 hi-level system, but had to modify(remove the crossover collector) it into 2 x 2 into 1's(like the gsxr750j/k systems),so that it cleared the sump. I've now got a micron 4-1 system for a gsxr750l fitted with scorpion can. And now with one of the cans from gsx1400 system

15/43 for the 90/91 750l/m according to gearing commander and jt http://www.gearingcommander.com/ http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/model/1791

The 85 750f didn't have that type of tank. The only slabbies to have the raised section(like the slingshot tanks),were the Asian market(Australia/Indonesia/etc) and JDM(Japanese Domestic Market)Black/Gold 87 gsxr750h Jubilee ltd edition and Blue/white 750h Kevin Shwantz(same colour has his rgv500)special edition. Some of the gsxr750rg ltd editons also had the 21ltr raised filler tank. Blue/white shwantz specail edition Black/Gold 750h Jubilee ltd edition. And the 86 gsxr750rg ltd
-
Not all the same, the slabby750,slabby 1100's and the 90/91 gsxr750l/m(slabby sumps are superceeded by the l/m sumps) all use the same sumps, with the oilcooler hoses going to the bottom of the sump. The gsxr750j/k,gsxr1100k-n,gsx600/750/1100f,b6/650/750/1200 and inazuma 400/750/1200 all have the oil lines going to the front of the sump.

Del replied to rolders's topic in Water Cooled, V-Twins, Singles and 2-strokes
